That's how I've interpreted it. It seems like he was unhappy about retiring to make room for some youth and then they go and recruit some 38 year olds.

Apparently the AFL could approve it under some "special circumstances" clause they have .. You'd hope they don't though, and I'd hope for the sake of Gaz' legacy he leaves it alone too.
