Ross has a lot of very high level friends within the industry especially the Melbourne media mafia and AFL house. I’m sure he will be fineMW wrote:Ross playing a very dangerous game going after Rucci. This will not end well (for Ross or STK)...

Re: AFL media
Exactly, the fact that Ross has by chance appeared on that show 24 hrs after these rumours appeared and used it to return fire means he's very safe in the Melbourne centric VFL footy media.Jim05 wrote:Ross has a lot of very high level friends within the industry especially the Melbourne media mafia and AFL house. Never a truer word spoken.
Stay in Tuscany with your toy boys.
Lyon also chose to directly address a report from Essendon icon Tim Watson which denying St Kilda have offered Harley Reid a $25 million contract over 12 years.
"I’ve never spoken to Harley Reid in my life," Lyon said.
"I do love Tim (Watson), but he got this one wrong.
Complete disdain vs respect … correct weight.

He’s definitely not my fave, but I don’t get triggered by what he says like others sometimes do … rightly or wrongly, he just calls it as he sees it. This time he’s 100% right.amber_fluid wrote:Ross is a condescending twat though!dedja wrote:"Rooch, you send me postcards from Italy where you’re herding the sheep. People don’t like it when you tell it as it is

Re: AFL media
AFL Media really has never been at a lower ebb.
People lament the lack of talent in the 18 team competition but fair dinkum we should be just as worried about the lack of journalistic talent on the 239 shows we're subjected too.
I can hand on heart say I've gone from last year consuming probably 4-5 hours a week of non-match day AFL media to about 40-60 minutes. I watch the first bit of 360 on Monday night to see where it's headed and then players / coaches / Horse and Simmo on Tuesday / Wednesday nights usually on catch up.

Re: AFL media
I like Browny's Quiz on Sundays, the rest of the show doesn't get a look in, TJ is a flogger, Elvis Costello tries to outflog him, Llordo should be called Lloydo at least, his nickname makes no sense, Rory doesn't suit that kind of role and Browny would marry himself if it was legal in Australia.Booney wrote:AFL Media really has never been at a lower ebb.

Re: AFL media
Cornes analysis on the big screen on the agenda setters is usually on the money.
Can't believe I am going to say this, but Corn has not been too bad this year.
Most likely cause he is not shitting on my club as much anymore, so if we bottle the finals series and/or the last two games of the minor round, that might change
