Sounds like a white elephant to me. No regular tenant, lost the biggest event it held each year.
Hopefully however this sparks that Council to come to the party with a better deal for community clubs so that its being used.

Makes the Mt Barker oval a big white elephant right now.
How so? it wasn't built for gather round
Maybe not but it is without a doubt the most expensive dog park in the state.
A classic case of build it and they will not come. Another clueless out of touch local government decision.

What was it built for then??? No one else barely uses it hey????
My understanding from when it was first planned, it was for all clubs to be able to hire it for special games (Anzac day, Saturday nights etc) plus most HFL finals as well as Sturt were going to play some games there.

Well, he had Roffey & Pert protecting him and their "culture".
Now, he's a sitting duck

When you break a 50 or 60 year Premiership drought clubs tend to turn a blind eye to indiscretions.
Had he not won a flag he would be gone already

Smith gets a four year ban for positive cocaine test last year.
Pert resigned just at the right time?
Could be more to come.
