they have always been the dark horse... if russell has another good year they could make the 4 and we all no what can happen from there.. and if the big fella [dwayne morton] can commit to his cricket instead of his boat it would give them a bigger chance.. but for me the X factor is mick feltus.. again he is one who would have to show a bit more love than what he shows a jim beam can  and they will be a huge sniff..

Dwayne was playing Grade 5 last season, a bit easier without official umps.

he only played the 1 game of grade 5 last year.. most of the time he was making love to his boat on a sat arvo...

whufc wrote:Yeah Nathaniel Brookes has signed , we use to play together back at Eastern Park, he has been opening the batting for Rose & Crown A grade the last 2? seasons. Very handy batsmen is good at batting at different tempos, he can play the attacking role but also has a very solid defence when required and chooses to use it, I imagine he would consider anything under 400 runs in a full div2 season as a disapointment.

Will add more depth to a top 6 batting order which should be

1. N.Brookes
2. R.Bichel
3. S.Fulton
4. A.Hewitt
5. S.Donaldson
6. Myself (if i can get work of to commit)

so if he has signed why would he have been to training with his mates at rose and crown and says he is 100% playing for rose and crown??

well maybe he is telling two clubs the same story, anyway the guy can bat and will definately be an assest to a div 2 side, last season was very busy for the young man, got married, went on honeymoon and changed jobs, whatever team he plays for he will do alot better this season.

Any word on signings for the Lodge Browny?

Surely a batsman and a fast bowler would be on the cards? Getting too late to recruit players, 3-4 weeks till first ball is bowled.

I do agree, Nathaniel should dominate division 2. Anything below 400 will be disappointing for someone of his ability. Whether he keeps focused will be the key.

Surely you have someone else down there who can bat 6???? Maybe a witches hat?? ;)

Robbie Latrobe going around again?

He was never playing for us... only having a bit of fun with it.

Although maybe on the footy trip this weekend we can convince him otherwise!

Had many a battle with brooks but unfortunally he wasnt at the crease long enough to shut me up.. And lm what is this 100 dollar thing with two wells?

im a lefty made almost 300 runs batting at 8-10, but still 300 from an opening batsmen is a solid year

yep he would be a good number 8... or it makes you a solid opening bat ;)

well with bomber gone maybe theres room for a slogger up top, maybe run it by robbo hahahahah
