File this one folks, under "clueless".

Still think im clueless for suggesting the Eagles wont make the 8?
They are serious junk, one of the most overated sides in the comp.
Top 4 hopes definately gone and will be making up the numbers if they even struggle to get in the 8

A fair summation of our efforts today.

2 weeks in a row WC have kicked 1-7 in a quarter. Won't win many games doing that.

That is true, have to convert.
The Eagles have a very tough couple of months coming up.
GWS before the bye which should get you to 4-4 but after that its Collingwood(A), Roos(H), Hawks(A), Suns(H), Saints(A), Freo, Syd(H).
On current form reckon maybe 1x win, 2x 50/50's and 4 losses.
That would have you on the outside looking in

The way WC go forward, they won't play finals. To slow to move the ball, kick on top of forwards heads. Got 2 of the best forwards in the game and we kick it up in the air hoping, for a miracle. Also we play 3 ruck man each week for some reason, even tho we have no midfield depth and we don't spread well. Then we sub a ruck out at 3/4 time after doing stuff all, so why we play them is unknown. No where near any sort of threat to anyone.

Great write up in the paper today for the Geelong/Richmond game, luckily there was a photo so I knew who Richmond played. Any chance of a paragraph on the team that had 10 more scoring shots and won fairly comfortably away from home?
Just one paragraph would be nice.

5 pts was the margin wasn't it?
Another minute or two and Richmond would've pinched it.

Richmond scored their last goal after the siren. It was 11 points when the siren went with the Cats controlling the last 10 mins comfortably.
Geelong were 7 points up at 3/4 time and were 17 points up late in the last before a couple of junk time goals when the game was over, hardly overrun.
Richmond would never have pinched it even if the game went on for 3 more weeks.
Surely asking for one mention of a Geelong player or a paragraph about Geelong in a 12 paragraph article isn't asking too much.
I got to read about Damien Hardwick, Alex France,Bret Deludio, Chris Newman, Ivan Maric, Dustin Martin, Brandon Ellis, Shaun Grigg, Nick Vlastuin and Jack Riewoldt but ZERO Geelong players or coaches, not 1 from the side that was winning all day, not 1!

 :? Not sure if serious..?? I thought Richmond looked the better side the last 10 minutes, just the Cats experience and composure saw them through. Thought Richmond gave themselves chances, but blazed away into their forward 50. Hardly believe Cats controlled the last 10min!

They did, trust me whenbyouvr watched as much of the Cats as I have over the years its easily to tell when theyre in control and when they aren't.

My only point about the article seems to have been lost with some pedanticisms though.

Fair enough, play on! I guess the reason Geelong didnt get as much attention in the media is because it's become expected of them to turn up and perform, but Richmond well they are so hot and cold it isn't funny, and their "Stars" always seem to be under the pump?

Just sat down to eat dinner and have a flick through today's footy liftout and I read the article you're referring to and yeah nothing about Geelong's win, instead it's all Richmond. Across on the left hand page it's a similar scenario, Gold Coast had a great win but the article is all about North Melbourne.

In conclusion the Advertiser once again shows how poor it's football journalism can be. How about putting in a game summary article not just one article about the opinions of the losing coach?

I assumed they might of been. Surely there was a game summary article in the Herald Sun and IMO they should of used that.

he will get games. Had the option to bump or tackle, chose to bump and the guy got a broken jaw out of it. If douglas and fyfe get 2 i can see him getting at least 3.

have to admit it was unnecessary for him to do so.

Perhaps similar to Fyfe incident, but another ballpark to Douglas' snipe. Will probably get a game or two, which is ridiculous but so was the Fyfe suspension. Reckon the bloke tackling Lynch is more responsible for the head contact, unwittingly, and I hope Melbourne fight it and win.
