True, but on the other hand, the King was the only one who didn't have shit all over him.

Hopefully the season goes ahead i fear we might find the end of some clubs
with no patronage at games it maybe hard for a few to survive .

I paid for 2 memberships with 2 season tix before Xmas.
I hope if everything goes arse up they give an option to just donate the $$ already spent on season/home match tix to the club, I'd be cool with that.

Im already sussing out interest for North fans to have a screen/piss up/bbq in the memorial gardens next to Prospect Oval for home games so the players could still hear us and a possible venue for away gsmes.

I agree SouthernBulldog. I posted about some clubs being in financial difficulty and Centrals was one. You have to look it conceptually and the what-if. Potentially the season goes ahead with no crowds, Have clubs got a strong membership and supporter base to continue.? Its OK if they have but I feel no revenue for a few clubs is disastrous.

yep, unfortunately Centrals is located in a very low socio-economic area & disposable income is very limited, no-one will pay a membership if they think there's no point to it.

The VFL has been suspended indefinitely.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Do the clubs get a portion of the revenue for Kayo subscriptions taken out by members? If so, I would encourage all members to take one out.
Cheers

Not any sanfl on kayo as faras I can find. You are probably thinking of the digital pass which is a separate coverage but I'm am not sure if the clubs get a kickback because if you are a member you can get a discounted fee

Sorry, my mistake. Of course I meant the Digital Pass. We do purchase the Digital Pass through our club's webpage, so I was just wondering if it was something in it for them at all.

As for Kayo, a total stuffup on my part - but thinking of it, if I can get Division 6 of the Cornhuskers' Dog Eating Bakebean Farting Competition, why should the SANFL not be on it? ;)

SANFL Statement – 2020 Season Postponed

SANFL, in a united decision with the AFL and all other State Leagues, has postponed the 2020 football season in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

SANFL will delay the start of the 2020 SANFL Statewide Super League season, Reserves and U18 Torrens University Cup competitions until May 31.

A review of competitions which have already commenced, including the SANFL Statewide Super Women’s League and U16 Torrens University Cup, is continuing, with a shortened season under consideration. An announcement regarding these competitions will be made shortly.

SANFL remains in discussions with the AFL with regards to the postponement of Community Football leagues and will provide an update as soon as possible.

SANFL CEO Jake Parkinson said the delayed start to the 2020 State League season in South Australia was unavoidable due to concerns for the coronavirus and the need to protect the health and safety of players, coaches, staff, supporters and the broader community.

“This is an unprecedented global health issue which we, like many other organisations, are doing our best to come to grips with and make decisions which are in the best interests of the general public,” Mr Parkinson said.

“The ramifications across all levels of football are monumental and therefore require a united ‘whole of football’ approach to ensure the financial sustainability of our clubs and the future of our national game.”

Mr Parkinson said SANFL will be working through the impact on SANFL Clubs, its members, players, staff, supporters and sponsors over the coming days.
