He's basically right though, the whole English attitude this series is the reason why they are behind. Not making us play so we dont score runs is completely defeatist.

People can whinge all they like about him but you cant knock the validity of his tactical knowledge on the game of cricket.

As soon as I heard home talk about his Brisbane test on 74-75 I knew the wet-blankets would be out and about.

Yes you're right, you can't knock his tactical knowledge and when he was on channel 9 when I was growing up I enjoyed listening to him about tactics and captaincy and learnt alot about cricket from him but now he finds something he doesn't like or he deems as wrong and can't seem to stop bringing it up and just keeps going on about it to the point where he's too hard to listen to. To me he just comes across as a Grumpy Old Man now.

Like I've said before he's become a real 'back in my day' type operator and I don't want to continually listen to what he did over 40 years ago.

His literally on there to appease the 50-70 year olds who cant stand modern sport but cant let the game go......Chappell is the pin up boy.

This is Jimmy Andersons 169th test match and has gone clear of Ponting and Waugh who both played 168. Anderson is now second to Tendulkar (who played 200) in most test matches played.

This is also Joe Roots 60th test as England captain going clear of Cook who captained 59 matches.

Would love to see Harris hit runs today.

Whilst his struggled he seems to be someone with a lot of heart and a really good bloke.

I think Matty Hayden was one of the best behind the wicket catchers, whether in the gully or slip.
