Friend of mine just got her car accessed after the hail storm out north last month.
They have said it’s a write off and they are paying her about half of what the car is now worth in todays market.
She will get a very average car now as opposed to the good car she had.
Insurance companies are fraudsters
Never take their first estimate, always respond with pictures and sales of current cars available. They tried that with us, lowballed us, I went back and got nearly double the initial offer.
My experience too, after the missus had her car written off early this year. The assessors are the laziest pricks on the planet; they offer the lowest price they can justify, then let you do all the work researching similar cars on the market to find what it's really worth. Then you'll get a "compromise" offer, still not quite as high as your research suggests, but significantly higher than their initial offer so you'll accept it with relief.

I’m looking to sell mine and have found the same.
Paid $56k just under 3 years ago and got offered $49k by the dealer

Now, a tie, minimum.
In ye olde days, bow tie.

I'm going with your recommendation, I hate wearing a button up shirt with a blazer though, I'll be taking it off upon entry anyway.

That was the plan, I was never going to suit up, anyone that sets a "suit up" theme in summer is un-Australian.
I'll just have to do a fair bit of running and fasting next week, been stuck in a rut and the peroni's have been going down too well.
