This was under 13's, the team will still finish top, how can he blame the kids when they got 2 goals behind in the first he played a loose man in defence, kept him there til three quarter time and then deployed two loose in defence for the last despite only being two goals down, kicking with the breeze and having the scoring momentum.

Worst party is, I always thought it was the most well run club in the state both at junior and senior level.

I'd love it if a parent would record that on their phone & then post it on facebook or something.

Same, probably too scared to for fear of their kid missing out.

Some of their kids we're telling ours as they were shaking hands how they are gonna get blasted for losing. It was a fierce hard game in tough conditions, we had 8 come off injured throughout the game, 6 of them went back on but it was busy going.

I had to cover the runner this week but as I have a First Aid Certificate I also attended to and escorted off the injured, that was a job within itself LOL.

We play the same team in two weeks if this round plays out like it should. I'm happy to "pm" anyone the game details to witness the "career coach" in action.

The whole game was spent whinging at every contest appealing for free's, if they had the ball and it spilled out in the tackle it was "holding the man", if the role was reversed it was "how'd he get rid of it", the team manager and two adult runners all in toe, it was laughable.

I'm tempted to write to their club, they are a great club who I'm sure wouldn't condone this garbage.

How do these type of people 1/ get appointed to these roles and 2/ make it this long into the season?

With that sort of attitude surely this isn't the first sign of it, club needs to take action otherwise they will find themselves with no u14 players next season.

Hearing some horrid stories from the Sacred Heart/Rostrevor annual college game last weekend, some has already made the news. Sacred Heart due to play them next Saturday but have already forfeited due to safety concerns.

Allegations, but Ive heard this first hand, of coaches pushing/shoving and jumper punching year 9's

Quite a few SH boys played back at their clubs last Saturday as its put them off college footy.

Probably because everyone just skips along when you're winning and there's no cracks in the surface, I'm sure he made a strong case at the interview and probably has an outstanding son in the team, I don't know?

About time the SANFL took control of the school competitions. These schools force the kids to play and then subject them to this type of behavior. Maybe time for an organization whose primary focus is football to run it for the benefits of football, not just as a cheap promotional tool.

The SANFL has no right (or need) to interfere with a child's education, whether it be public or private. Parents understand how it works when they enrol their kids at SHC/PAC/Rostrevor etc

Rules are made up on the go. Being involved with school footy v SANFL footy its not just one clear rule of you must play for the school.

One thing that I will say though, I know some of the supporters at our club don't agree but the umpiring has been exceptional this season IMO, I can only think of 5 occasions this season I would've given an ump less than an 8/10, not bad when I've seen 28 so far.

Didn't Flagstaff Hill sack their u14's coach a few years ago because he refused to rotate players and the kids in the same positions all year even though they won every game by 10 goals plus and the opposition never kicked more than goal against them. Then refused to let any kids play in the Sunday team when they were short even though some kids hadn't touched the footy for weeks?

Kids getting beaten up after a meaningless game helps them get drafted?

Are these games affiliated with the SANFL/AFL in any way? Tribunal or is it left up to the school to deal with discipline on the field?

These games are school events, hence part of their education. If parents value Sunday club footy that highly, send them to a school that doesn't require them to play for the school on a Saturday.
