Yeah agree.

Scotty Stevens is a great bloke but he has been there at least 10 years and lets be honest we are not exactly performing that great at junior level and definitely not producing proper high quality SANFL footballers.

South Adelaide need to replace All League Assistant Coaches and Reserve Coach for 2022.

https://www.safc.com.au/blog/safc-footb ... ff-changes

The Coaching staff will also undergo change with League Assistants Ben Warren, Chad Simmons, Nick Manhood and Reserves Coach Michael Handby all moving on.

Both Michael Handby (Morphettvale FC) and Nick Manhood (Mt Compass FC) will take up coaching opportunities in the Southern Zone.

South Adelaide CEO Neill Sharpe thanked all for their contribution to the Club.

“The last two years have been especially challenging for all our staff members and our players balancing the impact of Covid, family, employment and their football commitments.”

“They’ve made a terrific commitment to the Club. The efforts of Doug and Luke are what football clubs are all about. So is the connection that former players such as Ben, Nick and Michael have with the Club they previously played for. A newcomer to the Club Chad too certainly embraced the opportunity.

“We have been fortunate to have them involved and wish them well in their future on and off the football field.”

Zac Beuchner?
23yo who also spent time in the NEAFL.
Would have matched up on Grace in Tassie.

That's the beast!

Buechner's info from the internet is pretty good - 192 cm and 90 kg as a 19 yr old, so probably a bit bigger now. Among the best players in Tasmania last year and in Clarence's best players in both their finals.

Polled one best-on-ground and two second-best-on-grounds in their equivalent of the Magarey Medal this year; almost unheard of for a full back nowadays.

Cheers
A Bulldog in winter; a WTDCC Eagle and OICC Wolf in Summer!

Some good pick ups for Westies there.

Dogs better get busy then.

Fruitful chats with a 198cm defender with over 50 games of AFL experience. Employment is possible obstacle.

Sounds good, hopefully things will work out.
We really need a big forward and some A grade mids.
It was mentioned that Browny is working out the employment issues.
He's been at the club for years, what's changed?
Why is he only trying to fix this problem now.

Why didn't Granty sort this problem area then?

Dunno, ask him, he's there until December.
Probably to do with lack of money,
we own the club outright now & have more disposable income,
plus the mindset at the club has changed now, we're now "speculating to accumulate."
