WEIGHT LOSS + the challenge
HIIT is the way to go for sure!!
I've dropped my bodyfat to 15% this way over the past 4 months.
It also keeps maintains muscle mass whereas long distance endurance work is catabolic and will burn fat & muscle.

both will burn fat and muscle, the difference bewteen the 2 is that HIIT doesn't let your body get use to the exercise. Even though dutchy is doing HIIT if he is riding the same route everytime this then let's your body become use to the workout. When trying to loose fat I would highly regard weight training as much as cardio for the simple fact that it's easier for your body use muscle as a energy source then fat. And the other main thing is you need to be burning more calories then you are eating, if your not you are never going to loose weight.

Still on 93kg - considering the amount of rubbish I ate this week I'm happy I stayed on 93 and didn't go up.
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

Ever seen a 100m sprinter...
HIIT can actually build muscle while burning fat.
The longer you exercise (endurance)
the body will look for any source to burn energy (muscle & fat)
But totally agree on calories in vs burned
I recommend a few people google IF (intermittent fasting) & IIFYM (if it fits your macros) for some tips/techniques on cutting the fat.

ive dropped 3kilos in the last week, no major changes eating wise, just a helluva lot of walking with my new job - upto 60km over 4 days

i wish it was the golf course, but then if it was 16km a day there would be a lot of trees involved

Apologies for the lateness. I've had a dodgy knee and haven't been to the gym (my only access to scales) for over a fortnight. Pretty happy to have lost a kilo despite not training much. Had a session tonight and struggled! Will probably take a week or 2 to get fitness back up to where it was a month ago!
