I do understand NOW. Just found it funny as you were quick to assume someone from HV were talking about BL. As I posted before I am so sick to death of the money debate. Hopefully we can discuss something else, until it is raised again next week!

unknown source there are over 60 clubs in saafl and you single h.v. out as saying you pay players without reading earlier pages. every time i read this forum your biggest critic about money payments is mypaddock, and perhaps you could learn to spell right and we might understand your posts. by the way your club has come a long way in 18 months (from being relegated to div 7 to now be in div 5) and i for one dont begrudge you paying players.

Why don't all the clubs across the whole amateur league sign some kind of treaty that states no club will pay players and any club caught doing so will be banned from the league for 12 months or something like that. That way we can weed out all the greedy "shop themselves around" players, the smaller struggling clubs will still be here in 10 years time and we can return to what this competion is actually called - South Australia AMATEUR Football League.
Imagine how much money could be saved across all the divisions and spent on other things around the clubs? It's not like we win prizemoney for winning flags, so why invest so much?

well there is a salary cap for SAAFL and isn't SANFL classed as 'amateur' league

No Salary Cap in SAAFL any more, APPS on trial for 3 years so you've been missing for a while, long enough to miss that info anyway.

As a fellow player of the might source i will back him up. I don't believe he was having a crack at HV as such, but more at demon juke who loves to stirr the pot. I have no problem with people coming on and commenting on a issue, however when people dont know all the facts and come on with half truths and post them people can get annoyed.

While Demon Juke is good for this site just wish he would ask more than 1 source and get 1 side of the story before posting so called facts.

I say keep the banter going as this year is going to be all about the bragging rights. Some people on this site will have even bigger ego's by season's end and some will be walking away with their tail between their legs.
