Bystander ... you've gotta be f*cking kidding mate! How much cricket have you played on turf???? Obviously not very much judging by your above comments. Having worked as a curator both here and in England I know exactly what is required to prepare a pitch. While I'm no Les Burdett and don't proclaim to be, I do know what is involved in pitch preparation. I have not just had a crack at the PLCA ... I've offered them a solution to the problem which is probably a damn site more than just sit on my arse. So how about u find outa little more on what I've actually said rather than criticise eh????
The PLCA can take my criticism whichever way they like, but at least I have offered them something which can fix this problem. If they don't do anything with it then that's not just my concern ... it should be the concern of every club in the PLCA.

Perhaps u might like to come down on Tuesday afternoons and give us a hand with the Have a Go centre at Centenary then???
Would love to, but unfortunately that won't get the bills paid.

I've heard of your "solution to the problem", and while it's a good idea, it's not an option the PLCA can afford, financially. A better idea i think would be for someone like yourself who has obviously done it before to spend just an hour or so with Wayne, and perhaps give him some constructive advise.

Bit of niggle on here.. Luv it!!! I reckon all WF needs to do is cut the grass lower and roll the f#@k out of the pitch and it will play well.. All the pitches this year just haven't been hard enough.. I know somethimes with the weather its been unavoidable..
Whats with the GMs comment about the Hendo Shield controversy to which PLCA president Harvey and the executive will attend to.. Would it be Stiffy Reidy? If so I reckon Craig would get a slap on the wrists and we move on...
Hey Eags & Snozza, my offer with regard to Umpiring still stands...

So who's going to win this week?
Reckon Tasmans will be too strong for Charlton and SES v Souths could go either way depending on who fires on the day. Our top order has been abysmal and a change of fortune there could see us win. Souths have been similar, quality names are on paper but they haven't had the runs along side them!! A score of 50+ to one batsmen could see his side home, I'm hoping T Coombes is due for one of those innings where the fielding side is at his mercy (but I'll bet he gets bowled for less than 10!!)
Let's get some constructive talk going again, all getting a little ugly above......

I think it will come down to Orch/Reidy/Symonds/Tips versus Parker/Coombe/Eags/Jules. Whoever makes the most runs out of these guys will win.. Also think that Stiffy Morgan might be a hand full, bowled quite sharp against us last week and get the same short of breeze behind him and he could be deadly... TIP SES in a close one
Tassies have the best team on paper by a mile but the Charlton boys have lots of spirit and you never know.. Struddy and Rainbow must get early wickets or its game over.. Razz, Rhino & Tonks is probably the best group of fast bowlers a team has had in Lincoln for close to 10 years and they will bowl Tassies to victory.. TIP Tassies comfortably...
Good luck lads..

We are certanties, who is going to quell our batting line-up, best bowling attack in last 10 years scoob also best batting line -up in last ten years. Only one thing will get us beat and it could be something sent from Heaven. Blueys coloumn on the contraversy has me stumped???
Turf pitch is great, I love it at around 4pm every Saturday when the tide comes in the grass stands up!
Looking forward to my once a year journey out to the baseball this Sat night, good night to abuse players and their families and write yourself off!
Bystander, having read your posts I have never seen you out there helping WF.

OL, do you really think Devlino can get near Perficio? Yet to do so! Lucky Rob is the horse to follow in the 2yo race. He had a bad ride (unlucky ride) from it's jockey D Holland last start, clear run would have seen Lucky Rob a lot closer last start. Stick with the kid though he is going to be good jock, but needs to get heavier, maybe should be in tent cup day with BTB!
Can anyone shed some light on the 16 signatures Lincoln Souths have already this year?

perficio has had some very good wins but whos going to back him to win five on the trot...history shows that they lose sooner or later...as I said before the whisper is that devlino is flying at the moment and ready to win
hows the cup weights - lincoln sea is probably best weighted horse in field..odyseus cant win with 60kg and I like yarterbery on minimum..might be a race for the apprentices...any word on who the axeman is riding, is it one of drewy's?
