Dare say they leave it extra long for the US open, and cut it back down a few notches for the members. Still I get what you are saying. Years ago the Mt Compass course was a bit like that. Miss the fairway & hit another one, you just couldn't find it.

Nice one Heater, a good read. Interesting though, the 8 handicapper managed 6 pars. So it's the 12 "others" that did him in. Get the ball in play and you can score. Hit it into trouble, sounds like you stay in trouble. Puts Johnny Millers 63 into context.... when you're having a day....
I may have been incorrect re telecast times. Looks like it will be on foxtel 502 (I think) from about 1am, through to 7am. Will crawl out in the morning, fire up the coffee machine & settle in to catch the closing day 1 action.

seems like if you hit fairways and greens the course isnt that bad, but if you miss there is no scrambling for par, it is instant bogey+
