Scotch the team to beat this year from what I hear.
North Haven lost by about 2 goals to Seaton on Saturday, B's won by about 25 goals.
I'd heard that Ramblers had lost about 11 first choice players so either what they've got left and picked up after is still quality or you're going to have a long year
Think 17 players or so have left the club, out of that there is about 4 genuine a graders. 21 players from all three grades weren't avail on the weekend.

Did you play them at Seaton? They’re pretty hard to beat at home
Flinders Park and Broadview played a trial on Saturday with Broadview winning by about 6 goals. Pretty even game for three of the quarters with Broadview having a decent second quarter.
I have a problem. It's to do with the little man, the squashed-in French man, the naked little squashed up hairy boy! You know! With the hand feet

Rated Scotch as the team/club to beat this season and it was a very good come from behind win by our 1's today. Felt like Scotch just completely stopped in the last quarter and our boys had all the momentum. While Rolfe played well and stood out Durdin was well held. Their 2's were the best side we've played in quite some time. Thought it was good to get them in round 1 to see where our club is at.

i agree, scotch stopped playing to the same structures they were playing in the first half.. which really was a credit to your mob. one thing i will say about the scotch group is there was 10 new players in the team who hadn't played together before so might take a little while to gel. I can see North haven and Scotch having some good encounters later in the year too

No shame to losing to North Haven at their deck, it's not often that travelling teams get up there.

I see approx. 18 clearances in and not many out for them, which is a lot for a club with only two sides.
Did they get a new coach in, or just been aggressively recruiting?
New coach David Piasante gets the dragons off to a winning start with an 80(ish) point win against Portland. Some new young faces played well and some familiar faces were moving well also. 2s lost by a kick unfortunately but some good signs.
