well that sums up my punting. Looks like I'm not going to get close to the margin all game. then two late goals makes it 24 points. I still think I'm done with 19 seconds (and a rebounce at the centre) but WCE go forward and Cripps marks on the sirent then hits the post to make it 25 points.

I pschye myself out of the line bets, I generally go the BW/LW or the 24.5 point increments for some reason, it seems easier that way.

If a team I fancy to win is the roughie though I might go them over 15 points though, it seems to give the odds a bit more juice and most games are decided by more than two goals.

I get sucked into line bets way more often than I should, basically using an outdated thought process. In modern footy once a team gets a clear hold of a game, they usually take the foot off the pedal and try to manage the players condition to get them through for the following week, so the minus lines can be fraught with danger.

Very true, I guess it depends on why you are punting. For me I spend $20 over the weekend on the footy, im looking for value and trying to hit the big win. If your a regulary punter spending big bucks I guess you are looking for profit.

I don't reckon any of the multi backers in here would put more than $5 on one and putting $5 on a favourite is boring as shit.

Yeah I love a $5.00 multi. Gives me an interest for 3 hours and often makes a shit game of footy a lot more interesting.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

My sentiments precisely, outlaying $10 for a chance to win $20 doesn't interest me and I wouldn't waste any more than that on something I can't control or give a toss about.

For less than a pint I can amuse myself for 3 hours and possibly collect $50.

Yep my sole purpose of betting on any sport. I always back against Centrals when they make a GF as well. If they win I don't care I lost $100, if they lose the $200 back somewhat takes away the pain :)

Same reason I really enjoy fantasy football as well. Definitely could see how fantasy football is less attractive to those who have an extremely vested interest in a team though. Would hate nothing more to see my fantasy player give a handball over the top for a goal and the shine of my team scoring is somewhat tarred lol.

Haha I do the same if Norwood make a GF .. Made good coin in 2010 and 2018 (particularly), and 12-14 I could t have cared less about the lost investment $$.

I simply can’t come at this train of thought. I have never bet against my team, ever.
I’ll back them if I think they’ll win, if not I stay out.

I was pessimistic from a young age. Not so much these days but this habit of tipping/betting against my side kinda stuck. Do it with Liverpool too, this season not so bad $ wise but the previous two were starting to add up lol
