Im 54, most likely will have to wait until 60 however there are a few variables in there, a retrenchment at work would be perfect after 37 years.

Not sure I will go into full retirement anyway, will have a few options to work part time/casually which appeals to me as long as its flexible.

My oldman retired at 55, but he was/is a lot more frugal than me and it was also health related.

Im 40 and just started my transition to retirement.
Took a week's leave without pay for the first time ever (having used up all my existing entitlements over the previous couple of years).

Will continue to work fewer and fewer than 48 weeks a year as I move into the lifestyle of leisure, but not willing to go cold turkey on work just yet. While they continue to give me money for minimal effort, I'd be mad to turn the tap off!
Danny Southern telling Plugga he's fat, I'd like to see that!
