Shit.

Do you think he might use the 19 player on the field tactic there as a strategy.? Worked well here.

Only on those teams that surrender eight goal leads early in the third.

So if the rumour is any good he will be with Mark Stone.

Didn’t Stone say he didn’t want another assistant role in the AFL

I think he said he didn’t want another development coach role.

Happy to look at a Senior Assistant role, I understand.

Official now:

Regrettably, the NAFC can confirm that our Senior Coach Josh Carr will be departing the Club and taking up an Assistant Coach position with the Fremantle Football Club. Josh openly communicated to the Board a few weeks ago that he had been contacted about a position at Fremantle, but no role had been officially offered up until a few days ago. Upon considering over recent days, Josh and his family have made the decision to take up the position with Fremantle to continue his coaching development and growth in an AFL environment. Whilst Josh is contracted to the NAFC for season 2020, we have always believed that if an opportunity was presented to our players and/or coaches to go to the next level in their football careers, we would support them with that opportunity.

Josh was appointed Senior Coach in 2016 and immediately put in place his vision for success. He was willing to make the hard decisions early on the type of players he wanted, the game style he wanted and the culture we needed to be successful. The result of his commitment to the plan was the 2018 Premiership. Whilst season 2019 didn’t deliver the same success, Josh had maintained his vision of success and planning for the next Premiership was underway.

It’s disappointing to be losing a Premiership coach, but its even more disappointing to be losing a great person, great friend and someone whose honesty and commitment will always be remembered.

Please join us in thanking Josh for being a part of Rooster history, and in wishing Josh, Karolina and kids Violet, Jude, Arlo and Delilah all the very best in their future adventures.

The process to appoint the next Senior Coach has begun, and we’ll update members and supporters when more information is available.

That puts North behind the game a bit. Time for SANFL clubs to put some monetary factor for them if players and coaches go to the AFL. Getting screwed over .

Yes and no, while I agree with your 2nd sentence I'd hope North have a conttingency plan as this was probably known quite a while ago.

There’s a brilliant coach at the Parade who would be a great asset at Prospect ;)
