Brownys Boys 2382 d. Cork in the Ocean 2280 Boongas Bulldogs 2230 d. Lioneaters 2001
Brownys Boys smashed the seemingly unbeatable Corky by over a hundred points to continue on their giant killing ways. I feel sorry for whoever plays them next week. As Browny says above, his team is primed at the right time of the year and is looking like a Division II side at the moment. In the other semi the Bulldogs outclassed the Lioneaters who went about as far as they could go. While the Lioneaters can be reasonably satisfied with a top six finish Corky must be gutted after going out in straight sets.

Cant see the boys beating the strut this week, had a couple of lucky weeks

Division III Preliminary Finals (Winners to Grand Final and promoted to Division II, Losers OUT)
2. Boonga’s Bulldogs vs. 4. Marion ManBearPigs 3. Straycat Strut vs. 8. Browny’s Boys
It’s not all that easy to move up through the ranks of the Hogg Shield so whenever you get into one of these games you have just got to win them. The winner of the Bulldogs vs. ManBearPigs final is straight into Hogg Division II next season. Over the whole season the Bulldogs have been the stronger side but the ManBearPigs appear to have come good at the right time of the year after a slight mid-season slump and I reckon they’ll qualify for Division II next year.
In the other final my Straycats have drawn the short straw because Browny has been in red hot form in recent weeks. The Strutties have not been scoring well in recent weeks and will sweat on the return of Aaron Sandilands in the hope of remaining competitive with the form combination of Division III. I’m tipping that Browny’s Boys will clean up the Strutties and earn a spot in Division II next season. The loser of the other prelim needs a Straycat Strut victory as the highest ranked side will go through to Division II next year which means if Browny gets done then he stays in Division III.

dont care about the bottom half?
Losers!
So REB if your Cats get up then both myself and the MBP's go up?!? sounds good to me!!! get up the Strut! should be a cracker in our game, i think we were within 50 points last week...
I am not talking to you for 3 minutes because you punched me in the head and it hurt and that was not okay for you to do
Marion ManBearPigs 2159 d. Boongas Bulldogs 2097 Straycat Strut 2314 d. Brownys Boys 2116
The ManBearPigs that are from Marion sent the Bulldogs packing in the Prelim final thus sending out a warning to all coaches next year that if you want to get past Round 21 don't call yourselves the Bulldogs ha ha. The Milky Bar kid has been calling the shots in Division III for the last few weeks and will be tough to beat for the Grand Final next week.
Boongas Bulldogs got a lucky break though as they qualified for Division II next season after Browny's Boys failed to beat the Straycats who Strutted into the Grand Final on the back of one of the Strut's biggest scores for the year. Browny has had a good finals series but will be in Division III again next season.
