I really need to get rid of this slice off my Driver. I feel the rest of my game is going ok but off the Tee I have a bad slice. I have tried a heap of tips from a range of people but I think I should just get a couple of lessons to sort it out.

I Goggled golf lesson and there are a heap of them but does anyone know of the better ones around?

Cant recommend anyone in Adelaide, but I've had a few in Melb and its helped enormously. Although a massive hit to the ego when I realised my swing was awful and I had to pretty much start from scratch again haha

Expect to pay ~$50 for a 30min session

But if you want to fix it yourself, Mark Crossfield is fantastic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6k0XwRcqjoU

Also, I found this chart really helped get my head around swing/club face path.

I found the shaft on my club had a lot to do with my slice before lessons too. I had a reg flex on my old driver and used to push/ slice the ball a lot. Since getting my new driver with a stiff flex shaft i no longer have that problem. My swing mechanics are not overly good at times and now i have a hook off the tee when my swing is off.

Cove Golf Club game this Sunday at Echunga 7.30 am. Hope the weather is a little like today....

Played the Vines the other week and it tore me a new one. Had three 8's on way to a 96. Second up after a spell and I was useless, including I reckon at least 12 shots out of bunkers (including a few left in) which I usually pride myself on being OK at. Gees those greens are firm- will be lightning in the Summer I'd have thought. Course in good nick.

I have only had lessons with the club pro at thaxted..

Go on to iseekgolf and have a look at what people are saying on there. it is a forum i frequent quite a bit and you get some decent info from them.

on a side note, weather is going to be perfect on friday for a swing down at willunga! may even have to pull the shorts out... 8)

the weather will be absolutely brilliant

Im lookin forward to another round on Thursday and Friday.

Its criminal to do anything else but play golf with the weather this magnificent

It is going to be a corker on Friday. Thankfully it is a flat course as I have a big run waiting for me on my day off tomorrow :?

I found a cheap lesson voucher on Scoopon, so went there today: http://www.golftec.com.au/

We worked on drawing the ball with an in-to-out swing path. It was great to see the club face angles on the computer, made it much quicker to learn.

But I'm very skeptical about ball flight, my 5i got to 200m, yet I've never hit it further than 160m on a course!

Anyway, moving back to Adelaide next week so looking to sign up to a club. Let me know if you guys stumble across any deals

Friday was a great day to be out on the course :)

Went out in a horrible 52 with a 10 on the Par 5 5th, but come home in 45 once my "game" got going...I am happy with that for not having picked up a club in 5 weeks.

88 of the stick (36 points) yesterday in sometimes windy conditions. Left a low 80's out there too. With a couple of 7's and an 8

Went out to north lakes Saturday arvo for the first hit in about 4 months. Course is still horrible haha. Rock hard for this time of year too, which meant taking two clubs less most of the time (or regularly shooting over the back like I did). Shots regularly rolled 20-30m further than expected which made finding your ball tough sometimes.

Shot 46 which I'm pretty happy about, though that includes some creative "finding" of lost balls on the fairway near where I lost them, so it's definitely more like a 52 or something if I had to walk back to the tee.

Now that's a nice cart drive down a Par 5.

Stableford round?

Holed 2 eagles in my life time so far and both of them have been in a bloody par round....... 3 for a + doesn't sound as good as a 3 for 5

yeah was stableford. managed only 35 points. Mind you, I had 4 wipeouts so i played well on the holes i scored on but the wipeout holes were terrible. On one par 5, I was 20 metres from the green after my second with a bunker in front of me. Tried to chip over and went straight in the pot and had 5 shots in the pot and couldn't get out. I was ******* spewing
