Funny thing is England have probably won more sessions throughout the series than Australia, just some Aussies stood up when required at important parts of matches howevr what we are seeing today is pitifulRik E Boy wrote:The Ashes are done. Luckily they have a T20 game on from NZ to remind us how big a wanker Billy Bowden is.

Stumps 3/211
Weather probably saved the Aussies from total embarrasement but then again cricket is a funny game and anything could have happened

Despite it’s simplicity and it is only 3 days in but it is going to take a lot to beat this for post of the yearDOC wrote:Luckily they have a T20 game on from NZ to remind us how big a wanker Billy Bowden is.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Re: The Ashes 25/26
Comment from Brett Lee
In the absence of a strike spinner, Green was required to step up as Australia’s fourth bowling option at the SCG on Sunday, a role that Lee believes he could still serve in the future.
“He definitely can. He’s got the skills one billion per cent,” Lee continued.
“He’s such a talent, this Cameron Green … he’s been such a great asset to Australia.”

How can someone almost 2 metres tall and seemingly strong as an ox bowl at over 140kph seem so pedestrian? The play him like they're using a tennis ball.Jim05 wrote:This looks to be one of the least intimidating bowling lineups of all time for Australia. Very pop gunnish attack

Re: The Ashes 25/26
Don't hate him in at all....in fact i spent a lot of great time with Trav when he was younger and know him pretty well. He spent his entire school entire through his primary school years at the Craigmore Y vacation care to which i was working in the holidays. Spent hours on hours bowling to him every holiday and getting smashed all over the place by him.Lightning McQueen wrote:That's two cracks with no bites yet. It's clear though through comments from himself and the coach that once the series was won the focus has gone a bit. Knowing Trav he would have said it somewhat tongue in cheek but also somewhat genuinely as he enjoys life away from cricket as well.

Re: The Ashes 25/26
I know the back story so that's what spins me out when you hang him out, I'm not sure what Trav could've done yesterday to make anything any different, I'm sure he'll bat the same way, I guess if he fails he threw his wicket away was disinterested, if he tons up he's a hero.whufc wrote:

Our bolwing was lacklustre, I don't think it was through lack of effort or desire, I'm sure they all wanna get them out and spend time in the shed, we're just not as good as we think we we are without our full compliment of bowlers, we've always bowled in pairs that compliment each other, we don;t have that at the monent and despite recent efforts Root and Brook are world class batters, we only have 1.5 world class bowlers playing atm.
I'm not sure that Harry Potter would'v made much difference, probably would've only improved our pathetic over rate, obviously the penalties are too soft, 45 overs and we finished up about 12 minuted before the scheduled tea break. Watching live you see how long the run ups are and how much time they waste piss-farting around, there is no sense of urgency whatsoever.

Very lucky that Brook has a self implosion button that he regularly uses.

According to the numbers, he’s twice as good as Webster.Lightning McQueen wrote:How can someone almost 2 metres tall and seemingly strong as an ox bowl at over 140kph seem so pedestrian? Re: The Ashes 25/26
Why does stokes not cop more then root for his record in australia? Root has got fair criticism but stokes seems to avoid it. His record in australia is abysmal outside of a ton in his 2nd test.
