So you play at West Lakes? A lady in my group's husband plays there Saturday mornings. McInnes is the surname.
My handicap hasn't changed yet yesterdays round hasn't been added yet. But your right with the slope rating, It works well when I play at Links Lady Bay I get an extra 6 shots! it has a slope rating of 140 I believe its rated the hardest course to shot par in South Australia.

Yeah West Lakes is home turf for me. Fair chance I have played a round with him then. I slot in where ever on a Saturday as footy/cricket gets in the way. I have a regular Sunday group, one of them religiously puts our names up each week. It's then our own responsibility to remove our names from the online booking sheet.

Heading out to Highercombe this morning. .. first round of golf in about 12 months or so.. should be interesting.
First time I've played up there in probably 6 years...
I really miss playing regularly. Well more regularly than annually....

Re: Daily Golf - Where you are playing and how you go
Easy there big fella
Golf is what I did from the age of 13 until 18... at the course every day of the year for 5 years pretty much. School holidays mum would drop me off before work at 8:00am and pick me up after work at 5:00pm. Weelend were the same. In school terms mum would pick me up from school and drop me off at the club for a couple of hours....
Played off of 7 until I quit. .. got down to 6 for a little while so the swing is still there just not as consistent as you would expect..
Mum and dad were pretty pissed when I quit
One of the only regrets I have in life is stopping playing golf all together at the age of 18...

thats pretty awesome.
i was sort of similar with tennis - when i was 12/13 i was in a lot of development squads etc with my brother. not quite state level but almost. probably could have been if i tried a bit harder.
then high school came and i cbf anymore. still play at the top of div 1 in the barossa, but could have been a lot better if i kept going.

Well, if home is South Lakes at Goolwa....
2pm hit off and our accommodation is adjacent to the 4th tee. The girls better be ready to bring me a Crowny across.

South Gawler is a long way from South Lakes at Goolwa.
Had an excellent day, although I didn't play all that well. Finished with 93 off the stick and felt I could have been 3-5 shots better.
Nice course, not long, quite tight as far as drive target areas go, but open, being a links course.

Yes, the house we stayed in is adjacent to the 10th green / 11th tee. Then the 12th green isn't far away.
So took a few with us, got some cold ones delivered on the 10th and two more ( 'coz we were thirsty by then ) on the 12th.

Re: Daily Golf - Where you are playing and how you go
Now day light savings is back Ive been playing 2-3 times a week after work.
Shot an 87 off the stick which came to a 68 after handicap 2 sundays ago, won the B grade comp so that was handy.
Had 18pts last wednesday at twilight off of 17.
Played 18 last friday with a mate, no comp but we still scored stableford. Had 37pts. My official handicap is now 16.6 on golflink.
Starting to get consistant with irons, just putting letting me down, still leaving at least 4-5 easy putts on the course every round.
