Interesting repartee between AFL journo Tom Morris, Ken Hinkley and David Koch over night and this morning. Morris reported Hinkley went to the board two weeks ago to ask, in essence, if his job was safe and was apparently told his final 2 years are assured. Hinkley and Koch have both categorically denied that this morning. Morris is standing by it after both Port men refuted the claims.

I think Lycett is two fold, he's not been right since he hurt his knee in the win over Adelaide, has been laboring around and as such has faded late in games. The Magpies have the weekend off so he'll get a week off. Marshall is a really interesting selection given it's Essendon under the roof.

Considering the Bombers are using a 3rd string Ruck at best, it won't matter who Port choose to Ruck with - they are going to win that battle.
