Did you hear any talk about TV will fold at the end of the year because Hahndorf won't be supplying them with excess juniors anymore

There was some chat at the bar about Hahndorf and the juniors but I came in on the tail of it. Sorry can't comment on it really.

I believe the are going to have / have had a meeting to discuss juniors and the lack of volunteers around the place..

Will they find it any easier with the reduction of minimum numbers?? The by-laws now say "A junior team must consist of not less than 10 players.." I believe it use to be 14 players..

I can't remember exactly but 3 or 4 years ago div 2 was changed to 12 minimum & I think div 1 was left at 14.

Love to know how a player who plays 15 A grade & 1 B grade game gets a permit to play B grade.
Apparently there is a new rule in regards to qualification for B grade finals.

Which players this time?? seems to be an ongoing issue with the league

Apparently Hahndorf had to nominate 21 players who would have played A grade if their A's were playing.
I think these are the players we are querying who played B's on Saturday.
Tyson Staples 15 x A, 1 x B, played last minor rd in A's
Nick Ingram 11 x A, 5 x B, played last minor rd in A's
Ben Lucas 9 x A, 3 x B, played last minor rd in A's
Ben Salt 9 x A, 7 x B, played last minor rd in A's
Brad Dubois 6 x A, 3 x B, played last minor rd in B's
Would like to see the list of 21 players "named" for the A's & as long as those 21 play this week in the A's then I don't have a problem with it.
We copped a lot of crap last year for getting a permit for a player who played 10 x A, 7 x B & played the last 4 minor rd games in the B's.

There were also 2 other players who played the last minor rd game in A's but they had both played 10 B grade games for the year so not too worried about them. Like I said, if the 21 players nominated as the A grade play this week in the A's then no issues.

Dominating form from Hahndorf today at Uraidla. Blackwood out the blocks first and looked the real deal, but Hahndorf juggernaut kicked into gear and Blackwood left wanting. I see not a good day for Blackwood, 5 teams played today and not one win... A good effort to get 5 teams into 2nd semi though. Hahndorf have 4 x teams in GF, that's impressive as well.

Another predictable season in Div 1. Only 3 clubs were ever in the running for the A grade flag. The other 6 clubs were just playing footy with no realistic chance of success. That has to tear at the heart and soul of any club. Clearly the points system and salary cap aren't working. The money spent by some of these clubs just to be competitive in Div 1 would be doing more harm than good and could possibly end some clubs... and for what!
Some will argue they have a good bunch of kids coming through but it won't be enough because you can guarantee Hahndorf and Blackwood will have that coming through three fold. Most of the Div 1 clubs are struggling to keep their heads above water and will likely never win a premiership with the competition in its current state.
