If he's there at 10:30 he should be able to set up at the end of the car park, if he's much later he might not be able to get in and he'll just have to find a spot somewhere to park..... its only a small car park and there isnt a lot of flat ground around the oval.... maybe he can pop past the oval during the week and have a look where would be good for him and let us know for sure before sunday?

Id say this will be the plan too G.H..... gives us something to entertain the masses between games.

We have a Collingwood premiership jumper and a signed crows jumper to auction as well as a minibat signed by Klinger and Sorrell and a Readbacks cap signed by Klinger

Or wait til the beers kick in a bit.

Will see how the numbers are looking and decide on the fly ;) we have a small raffle to do at some stage too....

If the first set of games get away at 11am you'll find that they'll finish around 1:30, this will leave a fair window open.

Bearing in mind my bro' will need to get his truck in at the left hand end of the carpark to offload the freezer full of ice.. ;) His truck is sizeable and will offload it with his crane... He'll also duck back later on to pick it up the freezer. 8)

Perhaps instead of an auction, just get those lucky square cards? People can put their name and contact number on them.
You can get small cards with 20 numbers or big ones with 100 numbers.

Put a different prize for each card, charge $2 per square, would save a lot of hassle.

Surely it must be proper T20 rules?

If you have field restrictions you either need a circle (and permission to put one in) or leave it to umpire's discretion. Front foot no ball free hits can be a matter of the captains agreeing at the coin toss.

Normal ICC-approved T20 rules, I'm led to believe. Any less would be farcical. A quick call to the Pt Adel/Enfield Council will ensure there's a 30 yard circle marked on both ovals.

One thing we need to be aware of is that our players are, whether they like it or not, representing their respective Associations, and indeed the cricket itself is on show to the general public, so we need to maintain a certain standard of professionalism, as well as making sure the cricket is played in the spirit of the day, which I know it will be. It'll be a good opportunity for both Associations to showcase their talent to any prospective players out there, especially youngsters. 8)

What about those disks you just place on the ground? Surely there wouldnt be any complaints about marking the field a little bit.

Discs can make people unseasy about slipping on them (especially anyone wearing spikes). Circles normally aren't a worry, but always good to ask first. They might get annoyed if they allow use of the oval and they roll up to find stuff painted on without being asked.

If circles are there already, then that makes it easier though.

i know the top deck has a 30 m circle, not sure on the bottom deck though.

the other suggestion was a 8m line for the bowlers run up. yes, no?

looks like the phantam may have struck again, with the liquor licence issue. :D

In regards to the liquor license, the South Australia Rugby League has placed the application on our behalf and are happy to pay for it.

The application has been faxed direct to a contact within the OLGC and she has promised to fast track the progress of the application, i should hear back tomorrow sometime.

Have spoken with Tim Nunan from Pt Adel/Enfield council, he is most happy to accept the liquor license application as soon as it is approved from the OLGC.

So all in all hopefully by late tomorrow or Wednesday, should have the liquor license in our hot little hands ;)

A quick call to Tim Nunan will make sure 30 yard circles get marked by the curator, as the Council has full juristiction on both ovals.. ;)

Good enough for Adelaide Oval, good enough for Greenacres I'd say. The discs are fine.
