I have been told the junior panel has put in a motion at the next agm to change our junior ages to u18s, u15s, u12s and u9s. Their reasoning is due to the perceived myth that we lose kids each year to the blg as they are u17.5s. I beleive the sanfl have some stats in circultion that contradicts this myth and shows over the last 4 or 5 years that our league as a whole gain more kids than we lose with the blg each year in the 17s age bracket. I hope enough clubs at the agm knock this on the head pretty quickly!
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Hey mate, I've spoken to a number of parents and kids that do opt the Barossa for that reason, I'm not sure that the APFL clubs "lose" the players to the BL&G, it's more of a case that they don't get them in the first place.

Such a massive change proposed with the reasoning that isnt backed up by evidence at all. Even here say like you just mentioned doesnt mean anything as there could also be other reasons not stated. Would need 5 clubs to vote yes for it to get up which is a long shot I would have thought.

Yeah well nothing's broken so why bother hey?
Numbers are down everywhere in junior sports, it ebbs and flows out there, you guys would find it tougher than most.
Clements is on the way to tiger land and Jas wouldn’t be that happy with Whitwell I’d assume!! . But in BSR’s defence the guy has won his second mail medal and I’m sure he had a lot of clubs calling. Good luck to him!! I’m sure Mallala would have a replacement either already or not far away, watch this space.

That's two moving on with other apparently heading to Darwin for work.
Yep - massively disappointing for the Maggies to loose such a quality player, but that's how the cookie crumbles. In his seven years at the club Jordy won 3 x B & Fs, 2 x Mail Medals and was part of a couple of premierships - he's been a pretty handy player. I'm sure he'll kill it that league.

The rule is mutual decision or be out of the league or football for 2 years. Most clubs are fine with this and will usually clear players where they want to go. Except for 1 club.
