Apparently we are entering into El Nina which will mean increased rainfall for atleast next 3 months.

Yeah typical, my car is dusty as hell after a country trip last week and sits in the pubs car park all day today, moment I get it in the garage at home it starts pouring.

Heard someone from weather bureau on the radio this week trying to justify why they seem to be getting it wrong so much more often lately. He blamed the fact there are so few planes, flights, etc in the air and they speak to pilots etc daily to check what weather is coming. Therefore they have been missing all this extra info

Thunderstorms are hard to gauge.
One location might get deludged while others are dry.
Mother nature's a bastard to predict.

Given how many people here don't trust the weathermen to give an accurate prediction, I'm surprised how many of these same people are bothering to check the prediction in the first place.
Not sure who are sillier, the people trying to guess the weather, or you lot reading the predictions despite not trusting them...

Grant Cameron used to go alright on the SA-FM Morning Zoo "Today's weather report, let me just open the curtains and look outside" Then he'd deliver his verdict.

I reckon you blokes are a bit harsh, they get it right more often than they get it wrong and unpredictable spring storms are as hard to forecast as any weather pattern. They said the mid North pastoral districts would get a heap of rain, it did, they said it was a 95% chance of us getting some, it happened to eventuate it was the 5% chance that we didn't.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

Exactly. As I said earlier thunderstorms are hit or miss.
We got hit about 4:30. Thunder, lightening and big ol fat rain for 10 minutes.
Lot of water in a small amount of time.

A mate lives 1km away from me and had 4.5mm of rain in 2 minutes they reckon. Rain coming in through down lights. We had none!

We had 45 seconds - 1 minute of big, heavy rain, then gone, but we could see all around us was as black as black.

I was just about to finish my beer and walk home then it hit, had another pint and it stopped for my walk home.

I was running in Belair NP when it hit...sounded like a jet plane was about to land! One and only time I contemplated ducking for cover...scary stuff.
