Brilliant tactics by England to keep Jimmy Anderson out of the attack for the first hour and wait for the ball to reverse .... and reverse it did. Clean bowls Gill second ball, almost gets Rahane LBW with his 4th ball, then clean bowls him with his 5th. Magnificent bowling.

Anderson will still be bowling for England when he's 50 at this rate, love or hate him, he is one of the best ever ;)

Currently has 3/8 off of 7

I admire him. Has had his share of injuries but just keeps putting in.

I wrote him off 2 years ago when injured during the Ashes., thinking his time had come.
Good news is that on his current form he is a certainty to tour here again and we can embarrass him once more ;)

After alot of negative talk around yesterday on the socials about England's second innings and the way they batted trying to take time out of the match whilst continuing to build their lead but in the end that's as comprehensive as you can get.
Leach bowled well through the innings and Jimmy's little blitz with the reverse swinging ball happened exactly when they needed it.

Jimmy gets grief for his stats in Australia and I get it but he was tremendous in 11 when we won and was pretty solid in 17/18 when we lost 4 zip. Was by far our best bowler just had no help so they blocked him out. The one who has a horrid record in Australia is Broad which is surprising considering you think pitches might suit him ok here.

If he gets his hands on a new pink ball in the evening session, I'm not sure he will be embarrassed.

The second test between India and England in Chennai starts tomorrow, England have named their 11 for the match-
Sibley
Burns
Lawrence
Root
Stokes
Pope
Foakes
Ali
Broad
Woakes
Stone

Buttler is going home, Archer is out with an elbow injury and Anderson and Bess are being rested. England's rotation policy is in full effect.

Meanwhile the second test between Bangladesh and the West Indies is into the second day. The Windies made 409 and Bangladesh are currently 2/62 in reply.

Not that I've seen, Bangladesh cricket don't appear to be as generous as the PCB live streaming the Pakistan v South Africa series on YouTube or anything like that.
