I endorse those comments. A serious injury in the course of the game, and to a good bloke as well. I hope you are up and back on the field ASAP.

As far as the game went we lost 5 minutes of the first quarter and the entire second quarter. Fair to say that no-one, including umpires, team managers, coaches and assorted other officials confidently knew the rules that apply in those circumstances and it's not covered in the SFL Handbook.

Hurting all of the clubs revenue and how do young up and coming players improve their footy if they or only playing in a handful of competitive games throughout the season?
The Maroon Coats had a presence at every game several years ago, as they should.
About time they hired someone to compare the games on the radio and started doing their job! Plenty of other leagues broadcast there games, none to my knowledge are done by league officials!

Perhaps a great opportunity for a few prominent local business people to consider putting a new competitive league of their own together next year.

He's ok Splinter, went to Flinders because of severe pains in his neck and some numbing in his arms but was discharged after all the relevant tests. Just a sprained neck will be out of action for a while but could consider himself very lucky.

Had to admire The Sharks on Saturday had a real crack, even at 3/4 time but Emus had strong wind in the last to win by 8 goals, Emus still up and down at the moment, lots of players to come back in the second half of season I believe, Shoes seem to be hitting there straps now - good results in the last 2 weeks surprising margin against the Vikings.

Know there's been some talk about blowout scores but like Strike me Pink above, have to say the Cobras looked pretty handy against the reigning Premiers on Sat.
Bar a couple of 5-10 minute lapses in Quarters 1 and 2 they were not too far away, and moved the footy well. Semple , Braddy and Munce up Fwd a little too clever and experienced for Cove backs.

Injuries look like they are widespread at the moment. I noticed a lot of names that are quite unfamiliar in some A grade sides at the moment in particular Brighton, Flaggies and Reynella. The positive is they keep winning.

Brighton unfamiliar names - Howie, Jones, Nerlich, Whaley, Kari, Angley and Crichton

Flaggies - Caire, Allison, Sperling, Papps, Davies and Cavouras

Reynella - Pu McCarthy, T Thomson, Frisby, Richards and Warman.

Anyone from these clubs give us something on these players, good consistent ressies players or Under 18s playing up??

Flies currently have 23 lads out injured from the seniors.
Bradshaw and Maroney out for the season.

B grade average margin was 120 points this week and 1 of those games was a draw!!!

Howie - Brighton/Glenelg junior who was becoming a regular A grader in 2013/2014 before going OS last year
Angley - Brighton/Glenelg junior who played some A grade as an U18 last year and now in first year of full senior footy
Crichton - Brighton/Glenelg junior who played all year for Glenelg U18 last year but now back at Brighton
Nerlich - junior product who has steadily improved in 5 or 6 years of senior footy and now getting some A grade games under his belt
Jones - been around for years mainly as a "too good for C grade player" due to work and family but can now commit to wherever he is picked
Whaley - Brighton/Glenelg junior who played A grade in 2013 as a 16/17 year old but been at the Bays since then. Saturday was first game back from a long term injury
Kari - ex HV junior who came to Brighton as an Under 18 about 4 years ago. Has had injury issues but starting to establish himself as a big defender and ruck option

McCarthy an inside midfielder who works hard and will only get better given time.
Thomas Thomson is a first year U/18 who generally plays across half back. Has great skills and is as tough as they come.
His older brother has also played a few A grade games.
Frisby is a small forward who has some real football smarts, missed best part of 2 seasons through injuries in the juniors. But has finally got his body right.
All 3 deserve there places and will only get better given time.
To many names to mention here in regards to who is unavailable.
Bradshaw and Maroney are huge losses but that's footy, opens up opportunities for other players to grab a spot.
Flaggies and Brighton both looking very strong at present but as we all no it's a marathon not a sprint!
