please please please.........
Hopefully someone might get it thru their thick skulls over there that we need key position players!
Seriously, same old again for us tonight. I can see us being competitive with the mid range teams, but top 8... I doubt it.
Early in the game you guys looked very good Waite is so important for you guys if you had the luxury of playing Henderson forward to give Waite a chop out. For mine Carlton really lack on ball leg speed yes Jarren and Gartlett are pacey but I think you need midfield pace
Can't believe no-one mentioned Lobbe. I thought his second efforts in the clearances were huge. Clearly won the rucks and was desperate at every stoppage. Would definitely be in my top 5 with Polec, Wines, Hoffalinko and Gray with him.
Butcher and Pittard will hopefully improve throughout the season.
Good sign for Port with Boaky and Ebert quiet and Wingard only really good in patches that Port could knock off a finals team away from Adelaide.

I think Warnock beat him for 3 quarters, but Lobbe had a fantastic last quarter

He would be in my top 5 as well but can't you read mate it was top 3!
2. Polec 1. Westhoff, although he really only played half a game.
On a down note, I don't think we can afford to keep playing Butcher. As a key forward, he's there to kick goals, and apart from that grubber with 0:01 on the clock, he did bugger all. But I would suspect he's only in the side for balance, and Carlton certainly couldn't compete with him in the air.

Top 6 mate- Kane into 6th. Consistent for 4 quarters and 30 touches
Agree with whoever said Hombsch (which is the noise I make when I bite a BLT) was very good. Fair compliment to the young lad that they subbed Trengrove.
On the sub, Broady to start against the Crows

Carlton looks like the same team as the past few years, lacking consistency and a plan b.
Carlton will be very close to the 8 if not in it. We will take a 5 goal win away from home as well. I felt Port had players who weren't that flash but their team effort was quite flash.
Looking forward to next week.

Port were very impressive tonight I thought. But I noticed they seem to rely on Westhoff a hell of a lot. But then again I think my Catters might be doing the same with Harry Taylor this season.
Ollie Wines looks a real player to me. As for Carlton, don't rate them at all. They've still got too many sheepdogs and they won't make the eight.
