How did Thompson only get 1 for his hit on Dangerfield? That's 4 weeks for mine....minimum.

Absolutely. That was a blatant elbow to the face. Garbage decision really. I also think that Jones' hit on Cloke deserved at least one but he got off too...

Very lucky. When Rance got 2 for his last year, I was thinking 3 for Thompson (harder and to the face vs softer and to the head).
Then again, Rance's wasn't "in play", so perhaps that was the difference to get Thompson down to 1.

Because the no-hopers at the AFL are suspending on outcomes rather than incidents. They started this slippery slope a few years back and now they reap what they sow.

Which is what's wrong with the MRP. It should be irrelevant on injury but solely on intent.

Thompson has done little things like this for years now. Surprised he has got away with it this long.
