Interesting RE: Gallagher. Wonder what the dorf will do now?
ROOS, Handorf thought Trent Ormond Allen would dominate the hills league. He was CRAP. Lobethal thought Sudjai Cook would dominate the hills league. He was CRAP. Both players with AFL experience who were taught football lessons in 2006 by the talent in the HFL.
I'm not saying Gallagher would be crap in the hills. It would depend on his attitude if he was to come up.
From what I saw, I think TOA and SC took the comp way too lightly. HFL Div 1 A's is a tough gig.
I would say good luck to Gallagher as captain of the legs, but Norwood blows - Go you Magpies!

very true da re toa and sc but if gallagher was to line up at pies this year he would be very good. remember he is probably 4 years younger than the others. also he was on the crows list only 2 years ago. toa and sc were playing for the crows back in the 90's. but the pie don't have gallagher so will never really no.
think kluzek will be interesting when he lines up for shanty. believe he will have alot more influence than toa and sc!

Its not THE james gallagher who plays at norwood its his cousin, just as good though but didnt ever want to put in the time with footy.. A rumour around HHS is that Valdis bobalatis is assistant coach to maaaaaaaad dog in the twos this year, and also what is chainsaw doing?? he having a run around or is he gonna do the stock standard get into blokes, i hope the latter coz the man cracks me up. Ive also heard Trigger is playing full forward this year a bit like what the crows are trying to do with mcleod

Ron, Matty Kluzek played AFL back in 1994. Could play back then... I Remember a game when he kicked a swag of goals against West Coast Eagles. But lets face it that was 13 LONG years ago mate. Half of the bridgewater team would have still been wetting the bed back then... He was finished in the AFL before TOA and SC's careers had even started!!!

Ron - Ironbank are still recruiting and have just recently signed a couple more blokes, not sure on names at the moment but am told will be quite handy pick ups. The youngsters from last year are all back again and hungrier than ever and can't wait to take a step forward from last year. With the new blokes out there is a good vibe at training - I can't wait for the season to start

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Loves to fight with his team mates too!
I remember having biff with him at least 3 times back in the day, surprisingly, none of them started by me!
Has chilled out a lot in recent times though. Still, I'd hate to be on the opposition team!

Silky, who is this bobalatis bloke? Is he another teacher at HHS? good bloke? I'd imagnie if maddog is getting him on board he'll benefit the side more so than chainsaw, surely, not that I personally mind the guy too much but he does have tickets on himself for which the reasons to me are unclear...very! DA, GTS, SILKY, I50 what are your thoughts on mad dog as coach? I think he'll do a super job, gets on well with everone but can lay the law down when necessary which people respect. He'll also focus largely on skills i'd imagine which'll do the younger blokes the world of good. A potenital future devils A-grade coach.........????

LTSO, unfortunately, you've been had by Silky here. Valdis is that tall skinny dude that's always in a corner of the stirls whacked out of his brain and smiling at everyone. You know? That real freaky looking character who always has a brown leather jacket on and looks like he eats nothing but magic mushies!
He was actually a good player back in his day. I think he was the Devils ruckman in the '84 A grade flag.
Anyhoo, Maddo will be a gun coach. Hope he get's three in a row! Should do, especially with the junior talent comning through. In a way, I'm gald that I'm finished - it will save me the constant humiliation of being dropped every week!
Future A grade coach? Who knows? Would be a cheeky selection. I'd back him.

LTSO, im pumped for the upcoming season playing under maddog, i think he will have a better understanding of what the players feel this year and take on things when he is told by his captaincy group, gezza didnt like listening too much to others ideas. i think also there could be a bit of a change up in a few positions. the key to winning 3 in a row this year will be being extremely well drilled with stronger team plans than "kick it to niels". (although he does bloody mark everything) i think mads will do all this. the last couple of years when we were talking about it i was pushing for him to take the role on earlier.
maybe a few of us forwards may actually get in the best players this year aswell. weve had two of the leading goal kickers in the assoc. for the last 2 years and they prob got in the best two or three times each over those years. will be interesting though bit of a different side this year again. go the super B's!!!!!

Don't do that - it will get you dropped for the finals!

Anyone who saw sinkers kick that check side goal from the boundary last year would know he's a player. That was amazing!
Needs to look after those hammies though!
