At that level you can't have a bye in your 3rd or 4th ranked division. Hard decisions to be made in the next week. I would like it known that I am not having a go at any club here just stating what I believe will happen if both clubs can only field A Grade sides.

and yes a few clubs are speaking to a few kilburn players as of last night and tonight
maybe the board needs to sit down and think this one through if kilburn start getting pumped by 20 plus goals a week how many will stick around ??
In terms of sticking around there is a bigger possibility of those players who will now be expected to play for the Guernsey and Club are more likely to leave if they suddenly feel undervalued if Kilburn ignores history with a quick fix and tries to "buy" it's way out of trouble again. I said before they are facing a tough season but for those players who stick it out in a tough season is where the Club coaches should be building from....those who leave because of a 20 goal thumping would IMO contribute little to the Club's future.
Obviously...
...they've left
My thoughts was about those who are still at the Club...not those who have already left......
So what you're saying is, if those still at the club leave, they will contribute little to the club's future? Which once again is quite obvious. Do you get it yet?
there must be something specifically stated in the rules of affiliation to the league that YOU MUST FIELD 2 SIDES including a seniors and a reserves
i mean a car would be deemed defected if it was found to be on the road without a passenger seat lol the vehicle would be regarded as a unroadworthy causing all kinds of disruption to other vehicles
other clubs will get stuffed around and will cause losses for them too
if your not meeting the standards of the affiliation go back to the end of the line start again

well thats what andrew demetriou would say
Clearly not given Ovingham and Wingfield have been running around in the C grade competitions for donkeys. Aren't you the evangelist for a c/d grade super league removed from A grade clubs. Why should us mere mortals with only 3 sides have to compete against an A grade team?
More to the point Div 3/4 (Brahma & Kilburn). Sticking to your ideologies, what happens if a div 4/5 club does not want to go up. Surely we can't be made to go up.
A quick look though at the c grade has all 4 divisions full. Are you suggesting an 11 team comp in C1? who plays who 3 times - good luck? Can you imagine all the blokes falling out of the tree who didn't want to play up but would come back happy to sandbag in c grade.

Put in context..... my post was that a Club trying to re build from scratch for its future viability, doesn't need "individuals" whose reason for leaving is that they can't cope with losing....cry about it, contribute nothing to team spirit before taking the easy way out. But as you seem fixated and one dimensional...just for you Demon........yes its academic....if they leave or have left the Club they don't contribute to the Club's future.
well with a flash of lightning suddenly your players decide nah f#%k this dont wanna play footy here anymore something's really sh#t lets go to a fresh environment and start a fresh
whatever it was thats done this who knows but im sure its not the easiest decision to bail on the love for your club and jump ship.
but when tomorrow's sun comes up one must face the current day reality & realise ur no longer a 3 team club, your now an entity of say 20 or so loyal blokes who just wanna play footy for the jumper. to be a div 6 or higher club surely youd require at least 70 men on your cards to say u can serve the affiliation to its every demand and requirement.
with 20 blokes or 1 team only what hope does a club have against their now adonis entities.
fortunately the club is still alive and its history can live on, but i say get to the back of the line, push all the teams up from div 8 up to fill the voids and these unfortunate abandoned clubs can clean the slate and start again in div 8 without f#cking everyone else around

So correct me if I'm wrong, you're saying get Kilburn out of 3 simply because there could be a bye in 3reserves and push a club from div 4 that either just came out of 3 because they were sh*te or a club who might've finished 3rd, 4th or 5th in Div 4 into a div they're not suited and then put that pressure on THAT club because of Kilburn's mismanagement. So then players from the div 4 club say "I didn't sign up to play div 3" so they all walk and then that club is under the pump. You're not that smart after all.

Nothing I said isn't true.....besides in the matter of being deserving.....his position is probably no more than your good self whether he chases is it or not......and for the record.....I didn't say he was chasing anything.....But there you go...... as a club leader abandoning a Club for $$$ (if that's the case) your hardly in a position to be too critical........

I can confirm what Cohiba is saying except for the high profile bit. Not about chasing $ but the fact is he has to consider his options. He is a Chick for life but considering the uncertainty of their future it should come as no suprise that clubs will be talking to several players
The PNU Falcs 2005,06,13 x 2,14 and Div 1 Premiers in 2019......The SA 3peat - 2003,04,05

Oh, so it's ok for Cohiba to incinuate that Portland asssitant had been poaching Kilburn left overs but god help me if I bloody say anything.
and to think the Porn star sent me a threatening SMS telling me I'm wrong. pfft.
Ezytiga, I wouldnt be so sure of that, Andy said if you go to one C grade team that he'd go to Portland because he reckons he's got a couple of good years left in him.
and Cohiba, stop blowing wind up his arse - high profile ...
My new Mantra - I am no longer available to things and people that make me feel like shit

I guess it's a natural thing aye, and a catch 22. The guns in a struggling club who are no doubt VERY loyal, would be struggling to cope with it mentally. They want the best for their club but also want to play at the highest level they can. I actually feel for them and don't worry, the buzzards have been circling our place for weeks.
if i was the kilburn president ride the lows in div 3 with only one side take the fine the league will dish them out work hard on under 13s,15s,18s.....finish bottom in div 3 this year try and recruit loyal players for next year if not finish bottom in div 4 work even harder on juniors that year also and when they hit div 5 pay 3-4 players only rebuild from 5 and hopefully after 2-3 years of juniors working ok they have some players to step up into the seniors
if they dropped to C1 kilburn would struggle big time to attract any player of quality and then to work themselves back up from div 7 to div 3 with out spending cash on buying teams long road a head for kilburn either way
