There are 5 games to go in the minor round and who will fill the 5th Spot.
The top 4 looks set although 1st (Marion) and 2nd (Greenacres) could swap and 3rd (Salisbury) and 4th (Fitzroy) could also swap, but who will be 5th?
The Candidates are
Adelaide Lutheran currently 7 wins
Central United 6 wins
Rosewater 6 wins and 11% percentage behind Central United.
Adelaide Lutherans remaining games are against Central United (this week) and then the 4 top teams in the following weeks. It will be difficult to win any of the games against the top 4, so they need to win this week to have any chance on 5th. I would think that they would need to win at least 1 against a top 4 side to have any chance.
Central United have 2 games against teams from the bottom 3 (Smithfield and St Paul’s) so they would expect to win those. That should make 8 wins. Then they have games against the other 5th placed candidates. Need to win at least one of those to get 9 wins. Their 5th game is against Marion at home.
Rosewater have 2 games against teams from the bottom 3 (Brahma Lodge and St Paul’s) so you would expect to win those to make 8 wins. There are games against Greenacres and Fitzroy which will be difficult. They need to win at least 1 of those. Rosewater's last game of the year will be against Central United which could potentially be the decider for 5th.
I would expect Central United to be successful, but will that happen? Five weeks to go
Round 18 shaping up as a beauty in this div - Central United and Rosewater could potentially be squaring off for a finals spot. Lutheran will be hoping to knock off Greenacres who will be hunting a home final.. Brahma and Smithfield will be celebrating making it to the finish line after tough seasons.

15 yellows in the B grade last quarter I heard.. umpire went little loopy.
Wouldn't the game get called off if there's less than 14 on the field for either side..?
Was 7 for one side, 8 for the other over the course of the quarter.
I heard at no stage during the last quarter could anyone from either sides bench come on coz they were serving their 10min yellow.. so must've just been every few minutes or something someone went off.
I heard in the end the two umpires had an argument with each other, one told the other to settle down, if he kept going he would lost complete control of the game.

A Timekeeper's and Team Manager's worst nightmare by the sounds of it..

Is it???
Shithouse when any footy club is facing closing its doors. Easy to have a smart arse crack however there would be a truckload of history and some people who made it happen that would be devastated. Personally admit that I haven’t had some of the best experiences with Brahma over the years, however I have many lifelong footballing memories that wouldn’t have existed without them. In my final playing days I played on a wing and some bloke from Brahma shifted himself on to that wing to keep an eye on his car because it previously got broken in to whilst he was playing. I legitimately thought he was joking however soon as the ball stopped he kept continuously looking over his shoulder at his car
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?
Greenacres going to miss out on a home final due to this forfeit? Really doesnt feel right with them missing out on % due to the forfiet. Has the league ever done average losing margin in a situation like this?

You get what you deserve at the end of the day, apparently not one rival club will shed a tear for them, having been made to change out in the paddock all year.
You agree at the start of the year to the rules, an unfortunate forfeit from a club that has battled bravely all year is hardly going to warrant a complete league overhaul, because if you do it for Div 6’s you’re doing it in every grade
