Goolwa are playing Hallet Cove at Goolwa.
Strath are playing Torrens Valley at strath on Sunday.
Not sure why it is on a Sunday but it will be good to play someone we haven't come up against before. Does anyone know how Torrens valley are looking this year? Are the Ellis boys still out there?

Goolwa and Hallet Cove will be a good hitout. Cove are a quality team. You would expect Strath to be to good for Torrens Valley.

Went and saw McLarens v Hahndorf yesterday at McLarens. Both sides looked like they had a few out. Hahndorf were taller but made a lot of basic errors. McLarens seemed to lack a big forward target. Not sure what the score was, seemed pretty even. Saw number 7 for Hahndorf dish out a dirty little head butt off the ball, probably frustrated because he wasn't much of a footballer.

Strath beat torrens valley by 8 goals in a 3qtr a grade hit out. Probably would have been more if it had been a proper 4qtr hit out with strath kicking 10 of the last 12 goals. Both teams obviously having 10 or so players out. After hearing all the rumours over the years about torrens valley paying players plenty, didn't see much quality that would be worth paying.

Any body know the dimensions of the centre circle? Mine seems a tad small.

Is this a bit like when you thought your footy jumper was getting smaller over the off season??

Interesting results, it's only trial time and there are a lot of ins and outs. Cove were missing plenty from what I have heard and Mt Compass would have needed to be a fair bit better than Edwardstown to threaten SGFL in 2013.
Yankalilla play Mt Barker this weekend and we have heaps out too, so the result will mean little. Fancy our cricketers making the Grand Final and spoiling the day.

Nah just kidding. It's a 50/50 game. Hope the weather doesn't influence the result unless it's a wash out!

Re: Great Southern Football League
Back in town for a celebration and all I am hearing is how big/strong and fit Leigh Hirst also known as chief is looking. He has hinted he will be looking to play with a GSFL club but not his local Goolwa as the "price isn't right" anyone know his price? My beloved eagles could use a key position forward like him.

Re: Great Southern Football League
Unfortunately the big chieftain wiil be signing for a low level ice hockey club in Canada. He can't skate but he's sheer size and brute force has pricked their ears up. Would be nice to have him at g/town but none of the girls have been able to tie him down

Yank received a nice little touch up from the Mt Barker Roos. Your boys go ok WOW. I might say that I'm still a bit bemused as to how the big 'moose' ran around freely at CHB with no attention and racked up a lazy 35 possessions.
