Was wonderful to see Beveridge thank Rucci for his contribution to the SA football media in his presser Saturday night, praise richly deserved by the doyen of South Australian football print media.

Robby didn’t let Horse off easy last night on 360 .. Longmire wouldn’t have inspired much confidence in Sydney supporters in terms of him sticking around. He’s pretty good at playing the game though so might end up with a new offer from Sydney, who knows?

Up to now Ive been thinking Horse is playing games, but after last night I still think he wants to stay at Sydney but Sydney are not committing to him at this stage, a 5 year deal at the Roos is going to look pretty attractive if Sydney are not going to guarantee his future after 2020.

As it stands (given how well Shaw is doing), would Longmire be the preferred option?

Have to be, premiership coach v a guy in the role 5 minutes who had nothing to lose.
We haven't got too many coaches wrong over the journey so Ill back in our club whoever we go with.

Need to take the hype & emotion out of it. Whilst the players seem to really like Shaw & are playing hard, attractive footy, it’s only been 4 games.
Longmire (apart from Clarkson) has the most success & consistency in the league. He’s our number one priority and I’m certain Shaw realises this.

Sounds as though RS would be keen to stay on in an assistant capacity so might get the best of both worlds?

Well yeah that would be the threat. Would doubt he'd get the Carlton job though and St Kilda probably more likely to chase B Scott, but who knows huh?

Why all the love for B Scott? I'd be pissed off if my club was chasing him.
So you've seen everything have you? Yep Have you ever seen a man eat his own head? No Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

I think the past few weeks have not done much for B Scott's chances of landing another job. Shaw said he's simplified the message - you could easily read between the lines and say that the game plan or messaging was too complicated under Scott?

Have heard Essendon have spoken to him but not really sure how I’d feel about him getting the job. Seems like a bit of a flog but his players love him and he got the most out of what wasn’t a great list at North

Listening to 5AA on the radio with Wildy and Timmy Ginever last night. Timmy G butchers the English language more than Rowey does. He was dead set making his own words up.

What about the “comedian” that came on 5AA just before 6 tonight & scored himself the $100 pub voucher...
