Marion 30 years ago would have been one of the strongest 10 senior football clubs in South Australia. They are strong financially, have a massive following and it’s only a matter of time they become a powerful D2-3 club consistently. The ammo’s structure does really suit those inner southern metro clubs that seemed to struggle in the SFL over the last 20-25 years - Mainly their juniors always seemed to lag behind with the Saturday juniors structure because in large the influence of private school football. The demographics are the further south you go it becomes more like country footy - Even that’s getting tested compared to decades gone by. Sunday juniors seems to really resonate with the inner south metro clubs more do compared to Saturday.Down the Hill wrote:What does this actually mean? Re: 2025 Adelaide Footy League - Division 5
2/2 last week (4/4 so far in finals)
Marion jumped Greenacres kicking with a strong wind and never looked bothered after that
Eastern Park really need to recruit a small/med defender as the oppo forwards really do a number on those blokes ( Aish with 8 ), always been able to hit the scoreboard but can't stop the other teams from scoring at Dwight
Have heard of mass exodus at EP (which is normal this time of the year), they'll need to hold on to Wellington if they want to be around the mark next year
S Clark is available this week (so i was told) and the broken jaw ended up being a chipped tooth, not 100% sure what is the correct story
Think Pulteney can get the job done anyway and play Marion in the GF (Will just be tougher if Clark plays, and haven't seen Puopolo yet so he would obviously make a difference as well)

They've lost 2 Prelims in the last 3 years. I reckon they'll be happy to not play in one this year. Nothing more than that intended.Down the Hill wrote:What does this actually mean? They were 40 points up in the Qualifying Final against CLG last year, early in the 3rd. So they definitely were a chance to beat CLG in the Prelim. They'd have gone well, and probably made finals in Div 4 this year.

Turns out clarky gonna be celebrating silly Saturday with eastern park this Saturday, 6 week holiday for punching someone in the jaw like stated 2 weeks agoOldboy1 wrote:He’ll be playing in their next game. The Bedge wrote:The AdFL are always deliberate in their ambiguity which is annoying - think Kernahan likes being clever.wenchbarwer wrote:S Clark not named, AdelFL make ambiguous statement about a case being heard next week instead of this week. Connect the dots, I guess.
From what I hear the Dragons were given the choice to front up on Wednesday night or tonight, but they chose Wednesday, then they tried to push it back to Friday, but the tribunal had already been set for Wednesday. Greenies pulled the pin at the last minute on.
Given once a player has been reported the laws of the game say he can’t play until the charge is heard, connecting those dots, you'd have to think Greenies are at least conceding he’ll cop something, hoping it gets reduced, but given the league haven’t handed out a single one-match penalty at least in my memory, good luck with that.

Can you confirm old mate from EP changed his injury sustained from a broken jaw to a broken tooth and this was a critical piece in determining that Clark must've connected him high?#bleedredandblue wrote:Turns out clarky gonna be celebrating silly Saturday with eastern park this Saturday, 6 week holiday for punching someone in the jaw like stated 2 weeks agothe lawyer Greenacres hired reallyyyyyy let them down, turns out your inside information didn’t hold much weight after all…

Re: 2025 Adelaide Footy League - Division 5
We had a rough year especially with injuries in particular. I’d expect a different output next year and there is already a lot of work being done to rectify that.Fricky wrote:Kenilworth struggled with their C grade this season. Suspected fracture in the jaw**** he left the ground at half time of the game after being punched to get checked.. turns out was only a snapped tooth which needs to be removed from all reports, and bruised jaw with a bunch of cuts in the mouth..The Bedge wrote:Can you confirm old mate from EP changed his injury sustained from a broken jaw to a broken tooth and this was a critical piece in determining that Clark must've connected him high?#bleedredandblue wrote:Turns out clarky gonna be celebrating silly Saturday with eastern park this Saturday, 6 week holiday for punching someone in the jaw like stated 2 weeks agothe lawyer Greenacres hired reallyyyyyy let them down, turns out your inside information didn’t hold much weight after all…
But he only got him in the chest didn’t he?
Ahh well, looking forward to a few beers with clarky Saturday now both of our seasons are finished

I think Pulteney will get up.. they are flying atm! I don’t think Greenacres have a good enough defender to stop Aish, and with S.Clark out the weight of the world is on R.Clark and I don’t think he handles the best defender as well.. when they are both playing he gets off the chain! Going to be a cracker though and they both definitely deserve to be playing in a prelim, but either way it’s heart break the week after losing a grand final unfortunatelyThe Bedge wrote:Who wins? Crazy to think people were doubting it just because it was Eastern Park that were on the receiving end.

They hired a lawyer? Please don’t tell me they went the Greg Griffin path??? Sounds like the sort of level he works at.

No Worrall named for Pulteney is a massive loss
Think they can still get it done but wouldn't be surprised to see Greenacres win now

Pulteney ran Marion closest of all this season I think. 7 points or similar.Bluedemon wrote:Blair Athol Reserve

Could be a closer game than the season suggests.
Or Marion could win by 10+ goal.
