Re: NBA
Detroit vs Orlando
Game One
91-72 (Detroit lead series 1-0)
New Orleans vs San Antonio
Game One
101-82 (New Orleans lead series 1-0)
5 POINTS & 3 REBOUNDS!!! The total of Tim Duncan's night as the Hornets swarmed inside defensively with Tyson Chandler getting plenty of help, so forcing the Spurs outside, they made twelve three pointers, but also missed nineteen. The Hornets All-Stars also came out to play after a pre-game speech in which coach Byron Scott showed his team the three NBA championship rings he won as a player. David West scored a playoff career high 30 points, while Paul added 17 points, 13 assists and four steals, as the Hornet overcame a first half deficet of eleven points.

Boston vs Atlanta
Game Seven
99-65 (Boston win series 4-3)
The Celtics won the game on the defensive end of the court, holding the Hawks to 29% shooting, Joe Johnson went 4-8 from three point territory, but from closer in could only manage 1-9, as the Celtics owned the paint scoring sixty points to the Hawks thirty. The Celtics forced sixteen turnovers that helped to a twelve to two advantage on fastbreak points. Offensively the Celtics still struggled with the exception of Garnett whose 18 points came from 9-13 shooting. Ray Allen scored only 7 points shooting the ball poorly (3-12 FG and 1-5 3P), while Paul Pierce scored twenty points but continues to be off from long range, 2-9 from the three point line
LA Lakers vs Utah
Game One
109-98 (LA lead series 1-0)
Kobe Bryant scored a game high 38 points (21 from the charity stripe) to go with his seven assists and six rebounds, as the Lakers won by eleven points despite shooting twenty two less field goal attempts than the Jazz.
