I’ll take Malcolm Marshall Glen McGrath and Dennis’s Lillee thanks

All have better averages and strike rates McGrath best of the lot s/r 10 balls better than Anderson and 6 run better average.

Anderson is a very good bowler in England but he ain’t the best
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Fair argument. McGrath did get the luxury of bowling to awful English batting sides though  McGrath is the best pace bowler I've seen followed by Steyn. I didn't see the older generation so can't judge that.

India lost their last 4 wickets for just 11 runs so no, the tail definitely didn't wag this time lol.
India all out for 78! (Their lowest total in England since 1952)
Anderson 3/6 from 8
Overton 3/14 from 10.4
Robinson 2/16 from 10

I hope he plays all 5 tests apart from one series here he’s been ordinary.

I’m only concerned about Adelaide

Take out his 07 stats and he has decent stats In Australia. He was by far our best bowler last series here, averaged 27 at a great economy rate. Problem is they just sit on him as the of rest our guys are useless here, such as broad who has been awful in Australia. He’s the best ever in English conditions though, just unbelievable skill.

Just on Jimmy playing in England- This is his 94th test match in England, equalling Tendulkar (who played 94 in India) with the most test matches played in a country.

England v India, third test stumps day one.
What a day!
England finishes at 0/120, with a lead of 42.
Hameed 60*
Burns 52*
This is England's highest opening stand since Hameed's debut against India in 2016 when he put on 180 with Alastair Cook.

The sun was shining brightly at Headingly when the man they falsely call 'Clouderson' bowled: 3/6 off 8 overs. Not exactly bad figures for a guy who 'can only bowl in overcast conditions'.

That's an amazing effort considering he's an opening bowler, we rag out on Poms for being soft or weak but our Aussie paceman are lucky to play 2 years straight without succumbing to some sort of injury.

This Indian team should be swabbed.
Granted England bowled well, but poking away outside off with the ball swinging large is crazy.
Then Ishant opens the bowling and bowls short and wipe tripe with the new ball.
The POM's certainly had some luck playing and missing the good balls.

Just mentioned on the commentary that the England players are wearing black armbands to honour Ted Dexter, who has passed away. RIP Ted.

Day two progress score- England 2/275, lead by 197.
Root 67*
Malan 60*
Hameed 68
Burns 61

England in total command and I suspect they will look to bat all day today obviously and then for as long as possible, maybe all day tomorrow to build a massive lead and tire out the Indian bowlers.

This is the first time all of England's top four have all made 50 or more since March 2013.
