The problem with that is its real tough to rebuild from being a C grade outfit but I will say that your opinion is not without merit.
Its going to be a little strange having an A grade with no Pre game reserves.
It would be real tough to rebuild from there, possibly 5 or 6 years but if you can't have two teams then you cannot fulfill your obligations in that division and that position should go to someone that will.
I have a problem. It's to do with the little man, the squashed-in French man, the naked little squashed up hairy boy! You know! With the hand feet *I apologise to Hope Valley people in advance, no offence intended

Yes the Goolwa/Pt Elliot magpies. He will be a very big inclusion to a club building to success. Good news for the GSFL who have had some quality players desert it in pre-season.

We have our Ladies Day round 2 scheduled against them, by a mile it's our biggest day of the year.
If Kilburn pull out and the fixture is altered this will be at huge cost and inconvenience to our club!
I agree that if the fixture changes when your home games are that is a huge issues, but I wouldn't have thought it mattered who you played against when having Ladies Day. The fillies will come out in numbers regardless of who the opposition is, its not like they watch a lot of the game

We are in the same boat with functions, hence the question.
Surely a decision would have been made by now if they were out.
If they stay on with one team than the whole league is compromised.

From what I understand this is what the saafl and kilburn have proposed to do.
If that is the case then our club will protest heavily against it and as far as we are concerned all rules relating to promotion and relegation are null and void.

How do you mean the whole league is compromised?
Division 3R is a tiny bit compromised .. I guess ...
I would have thought at this stage moving Kilburn out of Div 3 would have compromised the whole league far more than letting them stay with one team (and you have to respect them for being willing to do it).

It has always been the case that you need two teams to compete in the divisions that have a reserves comp for a side to be in div 3 with no reserves is a joke.
Sides are just picking and choosing what they do now, relegation and promotion are no longer certainties.
It affects us because we meet the league criteria and don't pick and choose where we play and when we have lean years we face the music.
