because maybe every club he went to with that figure did knock him back!in the end he could only get what clubs were willing to paydevilsadvocate wrote:statsman wrote:take it from one who knows cook was on no where near 650 a game, try halving it andyou may be close
Cook asked for that sort of coin at Dev land and was very quickly shown the door. Why would he agree to a 50% pay cut to play at Loby?

they both certainly added to the interest in the comp which is a good thing, wonder how many extra people went to games early on in the season to see them playronburgandy wrote:statsman wrote:as were hahndorf with ormand allenronburgandy wrote:either way lobey were riped of!

who is this listler bloke? and is any of this talk true? why would lofty bother recruiting another forward when they already have gordon(sa country team), fleet(50 goals last year), wait, petersen gray, temme who are all big forwards capable of kicking goals let alone the number of midfielders who are more than worthy of a few goals a game. seems like a big waste of money to me and if i was one of these forwards at lofty id be pissed off with my spot being taken by this bloke when all of these guys named above are more than capable of holding down a spot on their own.

These may ba rip-off of Chuck Norris, but who on here is old enough to remember him? Mike Hussey is the new-school cult hero!
Just for you SS:
When the Boogeyman goes to sleep every night, he checks his closet for Mike Hussey
Mike Hussey sleeps with a night light. Not because Mike Hussey is afraid of the dark, but the dark is afraid of Mike Hussey
Mike Hussey doesn't pop his collar, his shirts just get erections when they touch his body
Once a cobra bit Mike Hussey's leg. After five days of excruciating pain, the cobra died
Mike Hussey doesn't use pickup lines, he simply says, "Now." (Reminds me of Mobsy!!!!!)
Mike Hussey sold his soul to the devil for his rugged good looks and unparalleled cricketing ability. Shortly after the transaction was finalized, Mike slog swept the devil in the face and took his soul back. The devil, who appreciates irony, couldn't stay mad and admitted he should have seen it coming. They now play poker every second Wednesday of the month.
