You have to remember only 2 HFL teams know how to fit 18 players on a postage stamp! Also, there was a fat, balding, angry home team umpire..woops, I mean club supplied umpire, who swung the game a little bit IBs way.
I don't think the devs would have beaten the A grade, but we could have had 8-10 players who could have been picked in that side.

You guys were stacking your B Grade because your A grade was so shite... Sodomka and others playing B Grade for Ironbank...
After listening to a couple of these postings of people talking up the lofty B grade I gotta make a comment. That team was good most of the year but on occasions was very one dimensional, which is rarely the case for A grade teams. That IB v Dev match was one of the few matches i got to watch last year and if i recall to answer some of the comments, yes sodomka was playing but he was the only A grade player in that team at the time and i think it was because he was injured, so now at that stage the stacking of the B grade wasn't into effect (as it was later). Secondly although the game was a draw and to prove my point on the B's being one dimensional at times, till half way through the 3rd quarter IB was up by as much as 5-7 goals (cant quite remember to be exact), then hampy went down (IB full back) plus some other critical players injured which let the devs back into the game as at that stage he was having a ripper and was all over maslin, he left dev picked up maslin gets back in the game, thus draw. also the super B's were getting torn apart in the midfield that game, a couple of scared midfielders i thought with kervo throwing his wait around. so i think the comment of devs B grade beating A grade tams is a bit far fetched.
also any on here associated with IB im assuming armytank, do any of you guys know what happened with Hampy that game that injury looked a bit serious, is he playing this year?

super boot, yyour right about their fullback he was having a corker of a game and i think may have done his knee pretty badly. but also IB tend to win games they shouldnt necessarily win when at home bcause al of their teams revolve around big fellas who can kick half the length of that crappy excuse for an oval. as you should recall they got most of their goals from what started as a kick out and they just bombed and hoped something that doesnt work on other ovals. not to mention that we simply played like crud that day.
i do believe we could have beaten a couple of the A grade sides last year but thats my opinion and obviously others have different ideas but the reason ill stick to it is that there is no doubt in my mind that half of our side wouldve walked into those two A grade sides and about 5-6 of them couldve played in any other a grade side in the league. (wouldve been tough but doable to get into uris and onkas though).
what are TV looking like this year, any chances, everyone seems to think kang and kersbrook are the teams. werent TV quite handy last couple of years?

sodomka played most of the year in b's anyway (besides about 2 games at the start of the season) not cause of injury but coz i think thats were he wanted to play... and my point wasnt that IB bgrade was better than the devs, cause they obviously werent, but that the devs b's wudnt come close to IB a's.

Thats the softest option ive ever heard! If your as good as sodomka is, and he wants to play B grade, if i was a grade coach i wouldnt let him play at all! Cozx if your good enuf to As you play it no matter how old or young you are, you try and get the best out of your ability, not flop along in B grade the hole year

maybe sodomka couldn't train or he may want to give more young kids a game. there are alot of players in hills b grade that are good enough for a grade but have reasons for not playing a grade. if he was to play a grade maybe a player like bawden or picadilly panther would miss out on a spot in a grade. sore sodomka play a b grade game and he in no way dominated. he really looked like he was just out there for a kick. may have not had the passion, hence going to medows now.
