St George are a bright mob. They want to play their A grade in the usual 2 day format and play their B grade in the 7 + 7 comp and have both teams based at the Urrbrae ground. Would love to know how they think that will work.

I bet Phil and Craig wish they didn't offer a new 7 + 7 comp now. Way too much work in programming. Be interesting to see if it picks up over the next few years.

I think you'll find that they clubs in this comp will share ground with each other. so if there are 8 teams in the comp. they will share 4 grounds between them

Morphies. Winning runs hit by Steven Thomas off Michael Thomas with a ball to spare

WYC. Morphies beat them in semis by 1 wicket after Robbie drops caught & bowled sitter.

Plympton. Miss out on % as Morphies win outright in last round.

Sheidow. Bottom 3 only win 1 game each and fight for relegation. South Road to go down.
Keswick. Only game they win is the onedayer, and now want Section 1 to be only one dayers. Motion is crushed.

That is how i see it without knowing much about each side's recruits.

I have put Keswick on top assuming they have Lucky Singh and Kurt play all year and get Steve McRae bowling again. As i think with Heath, Rusty and Steve McRae their batting has some real class and their other batsmen will have a little less pressure on them and they will be a tough side to beat this upcoming season.

I believe that Sambo has left to Goodwood and that Mark O'Malley has retired from the A grade which is why i see a bit of a fall for both of those sides. As well as the fact that both of those sides have their fair share of players over 35. South Road is the team i found the most difficult to fit in somewhere as the difference between their best and worst was a long way last year so who knows what to expect of them this year. I think Plympton will be in for another tough year getting some experience into their kids and i don't know enough about belair to put them anywhere else other than bottom.

This is the proposal the executive has come up with for the T20 this year.

23rd October. 8 games to be played with 4 clubs hosting double headers with all games to be played in the 12:15-3:15 and 3:30-6:30 timeslots.



20th November. 4 games to be played with 2 clubs hosting double headers with all games to be played in the 12:15-3:15 and 3:30-6:30 timeslots.



22nd January. 2 games to be played with 1 club hosting a double header with the games to be played in the 12:15-3:15 and 3:30-6:30 timeslot.



26th February. The final is hosted by 1 club with the game to be played between 1:45 and 4:45.

I don't mind the idea, would be good for the clubs who are lucky enough to host a round, eg bbq, raffles, chance to make a little bit of coin.

The thinking here is that every club would get the chance host a game every second year.

I think the hosting will be done as randomly as possible. Although it will need to take into consideration that not every club can host on all of those dates so there will have to be some flexibility to it.

The issue each year has been trying to organise dates within a certain time period. As we all know clubs have different functions on at different times, and this coordination is not always worked out very well.

Some of us have been saying for some time there needs to be a structure put in place. Having a structure up front will allow clubs to work around it, and also be able to guarantee when ALL games will be played (rather than relying on the individual clubs).

Some of us have been saying for some time there needs to be a structure put in place. Having a structure up front will allow clubs to work around it, and also be able to guarantee when ALL games will be played (rather than relying on the individual clubs).

Only thing needed now is a small entry fee (say $50 even, doesn't have to be huge) then theres $800 in the kitty, and some prize money for the finallists.
