Guys, there is no denying that our origins are from Mt Lofty C grade, I have said it on here before. The way I understood it was that a number of players had had enough of the political bullcrap and players bing dropped etc that had been happening at Mt Lofty and wanted to move on. (NOTE: similar to what is happening at Blackwood maybe with players leaving for Noarlunga and Aldinga maybe?)

The original side was mainly made up of ex C grade players from Mt Lofty. We entered a C grade team only for our first year in 1986 and beat Mt Lofty in the Grand Final. From there the club has built itself up to where it is now, a long way from the start but still a long way to go.

Forgot that IB was our C grade.

Man that would have been usefull in recent arguments!!!!!!!

my dad was actually one of the few who started ib in 1985 and yes some where playing c grade at lofty but a majority were playing at blackwood and decided to make up a club in ib as most players were from there and they didn't enjoy the other clubs. they also wanted to just play socially and won the c grade premiership straight away. there were a few blokes from lofty who played at ib than because it was an enjoyable club in early stages and has now built into what it is 2day. so before claiming that they were lofty c grade u may want to look a bit more into it gts!

HOOK LINE AND SINKER Ronnie!!!!!

Just stirring you blokes. Summer is great but the lack of footy to discuss makes me sick! Hence the stupidity we have resorted to, to fill the void!

And Ron I didn't realise your origins are Devil land. It's in your blood mate, just embrace it and come back to the land of the sloping oval!

Yeah, couldn't see IB and Lofty merging. Just one of those rivalries that's too deep I reckon.
When I was at Lofty there were murmurs of merging, but to Coco's credit, we're better off now.
What would it have been? Mt Lofty Raiders? There'd be fights at trainings for f!#k sake! Classic! The supporters at home games would be split into 3...the away team, Raiders and Devils. Only certain car horns would beep when a goal's kicked, depending where the dude originated from! And that would be a travesty, my friends.

Dead set ur trippin, if you think that Meadows would be a good team in div 1 ur a idiot, Tim knappstein and plugger shorland couldnt even make hahndorfs As the year before hey left AND HAHNDORF FINISHED 7TH!!!! Rethink that mate rethink it. Kangarillas CHF got dropped from Eagles under 19s the year before he went to Kangys rethink that mate, face it there shiit, div two is for second rank footballers. (Apart from the jameses francou and due, reid brothers and chaddy dawe who i must say is a GUN)

Just heard a few of the board at Uraidla not big Coco (Mt Lofty prez) fans. Apparantly a deal was brokered to sell Grand Final DVD's to the Devs as a club fundraiser. Word is that the Devs bought less than they originally agreed to and then burnt copies for their players, charging them th original price!

I don't get no respect. I called Suicide Prevention. They tried to talk me into it.

All this talk about Kangarilla making the finals in Div 1. I'm pretty sure that Meadows thumped them by 10 goal last year, correct me if im wrong?? Mind you none of them would of got near our beloved devs!!!!

don't worry knappstein was terrible in country div as well, don't rate Carter? State A1 Amateurs player a few years running, plus played league for northadelaide? Kangarilla would've made the five in div 1, no doubt, i've seen games in both divs. Trent Thorpe would still kick ass in central.

NR - I'm not sure if that would be the Prez's doing, if it WERE true. That'd be out of his hands.
So did Uri's make a whole bunch but Lofty didn't buy them all off them? Is that the alleged problem?

GTS thats bollocks about bridgy asking lofty to merge a few years back. We were told it was a suggestion from a hfl official outside the 2 clubs. just like our proposed drop to div2 this season theres no way an idea like that would get thru, its either bridgewater raiders or its nothing.

Wrong, wrong, wrong!

We were approached by members of the bridgy board to discuss a merger. We told them in no uncertain terms to go back to their stinkpit and sort their own shit out!

Not sure of finer details, but apparantly there was a deal to buy 20 @$20 with the proviso that if more were needed they would be bought. Word (somehow) got back that they(Mt Lofty) had made extra copies and selling them to players. As negotiations were done thru your prez....
Guess this stuffs up any future deals with our (good quality) copies of B grade GF!

With all due respect to Coco, I don't think he'd know how to burn a DVD. And for $20 a pop I don't think he'd bother trying to rip you guys off. At most he's going to make about $400 out of it (20x$20) so wouldn't be worth the potential bad blood.

On the B grade GF - it's all up top for me! I can even remember my stats..............because I can count them all on 1 hand!!!!

wow bad blood over some dvds get over it i say. also of the dvd ive seen the b grade is on that as well anyway. so we dont need anymore deals.not sure if the merge started with the hfl looking into it but can assure u that bridgy then came to us about it.

Will have to the Lancaster thing out too. Haven't seen him for a few weeks.

At the end of the day, why do we need a DVD of the GF?

Last time I checked there were 3 flags pinned up on the wall at Heathfield!!!! - That's all I need!!!!!
