What's happened to the unbeatable Ango Juggernaut ????

Tanunda - back a little with the blade - after last weeks fiasco

Kapunda - going alright for a team that was suppose to finish behind daylight

Sandy - Do we give them a chance against the boys from South

Wouldn’t be too concerned about Ango still have 3 key players missing.

Tanunda needed to respond, after embarrassment in round 1

Kapunda will be good on occasions when their old boys play well but won’t be as consistent anymore

Sandy only chance is rooster and Dinener so who knows

Must have been a mine field in the Mallala/Ango game. Kind of expect to see a reverse outright this week

Tanunda will be a surprise packet, they have some good players running around in that side and will get better as the season goes on.

GV are light on in the batting stocks so may find it hard to post winning scores throughout the season

South are the benchmark, interesting to see they were 4/201 and bowled out for 222 against the Cocks, should get the job done though, best bowling attack in the comp

Sandy will rely heavily on Diener and Handtke but may have a couple of young guys pop up during the year with the ball

Freeling should be good with Hannun back playing more games than last year, interesting to see they dropped Poulton after what looked like a pretty solid game in Round 1. Hes a junior with some promise

Angaston
Mallala
Freeling
Tanunda
Sandy

I give Sandy a big chance to get the runs.

Shanks - You're giving Mallala and Freeling some respect - hearing Wilson may be out for a while at some stage with a knee op due.

Mallala a bit light on in the batting without Wilson

Freeling will bring it together, with Parish, Hannun, Carmichael, McMillan and the 2 Montys that gives a strong nucleus. They added Summerton as well

If Wilson is out for a period of time then yes that does hurt

2 horse race then with everyone else fighting to save relegation hahaha

South the benchmark? And best bowling line up? Reckon there might be a club gunning for their 5th flag in a row that might disagree !!

Interesting to note that after 2 rounds in the A1 reserves Angaston are the only unbeaten team, yet they sit 3rd behind the two teams they have beaten courtesy of outrights to those two teams in their other game, The reserves comp should be wide open this year with anyone but Willaston capable of winning it

Some interesting results from the weekend.

South have continued their good form with a few big names in the runs. Sandy looked to have fought hard and will be pushing for top 4 still at the end of the season.
Kapunda looked to have an excellent game with many contributors, Freeling have started slowly but will come good very soon. They have too many big names to not hit form soon.
Mallala defeating Angaston was a big surprise. Wicket must have been up and down on the first day judging by the scores. Mallala have started the year well and could be the surprise packet this season. When were Angaston last beaten?
Tanunda had a convincing win over Gilbert Valley for their first win after coming back up. Looks like they sent GV back in to look for an outright. It sounds like they have a few very good cricketers and could jag several wins throughout the year. Might be a long season for my old mob Gilbert Valley, apparently a buckshow this weekend and several weddings leading up to Christmas will really test their already limited depth. Could be a tough year for the bulls.

Fair effort by Freeling A2s to be bowled out for 30 in 1st innings and then win outright

I am interested to see how Lower North go.

We only played them last week and they have a pretty handy top 4 who have all played b grade or higher district cricket.

There bowling is pretty handy and their opener they got from Long Plains is sharp enough and bowls at the stumps.

They are a fairly impressive side but lack depth like a lot of country sides.

We played them 2 years ago and just got over the line, reckon bowlers 4 and 5 were pooh and our batting depth got us there. Also one of the mcpharlins was run out backing up for 50 odd, only way we looked like getting him out

I might even live score the game if saca have put the game in the program. The association has just purchased 70 tablets for all the senior teams in the comp. Clubs will get them next week, so from next round we should start to see quite a few games being live scored or at the very least uploaded not long after the games are finished

Sounds great but relying on clubs to have them charged, be willing to use their hotspot or have wifi available can be challenging.
