They have offered 3 spike the job, but he is waiting to see how his other applictaions at other clubs go before taking it on. Would of thought that the hawks would of given him some kind of deadline.

MG, I know it is not about this forum but speaking with some lads on the w/end and I was informed that your cricket side has pulled out of A grade and the club is struggling to field sides, but just as it does in football your juniours are always up there, what happens at Flaggies between lads coming from juniors to seniors????
Unfortunately I have no idea what happens at the cricket club shoe boy- I know there must have been an influx of cash a few years back when they won the A grade (T Bahr etc playing up there) but as that dried up all the players have obviously moved on.
I know a couple of boys from the footy club play cricket at other clubs, but I dont think many footy players back up and play cricket- I may be wrong here.
My summer consists of ICA only I'm afraid- as a batsman or bowler I make an excellent fielder! 5 hours fielding in the heat on a Saturday isnt my idea of fun...

Why are you relieved that Shane did not get the job? 2 times premiership Coach at Langhornes Creek in the early 2000's Would have brought some players.

Not sure that Hackham can be too fussy
The dude is an absolute pecker!! Have heard many stories of when he coached at Lonsdale, and i don't believe Hackham needed someone like this involved in their club. The state that Hackham is in at the moment they cannot afford to make the wrong decision again. They need someone who is prepared to go through some hard times for a few seasons and try and rebuild it, not someone who will just come in spend all their cash and **** off!!

Have played under and with Shane at Macclesfield this year I would have to say these comments are rather ill informed. Whilst we didn't have the most successful year (terrible in fact) shane's attitutude and commitment never wavered. In regards to KK's comments taking the money and leaving this really is a load of crap. Shane re-applied unsuccessfully for the job again next year. I believe the reason he wasn't re-appointed was due his ability to sign big name players and not his coaching abilities/ethics.
