Right on sister, I hate that one also .. Along with 'Nucular', and eve "Tunafish" ,, Surely everyone knows Tuna is a damn fish?

Whilst we're on the topic of wanting to know something, I watched a movie last night where an adult character couldn't swim .. Does anyone know an adult that actually can't swim (not even a little bit)?

Hadn't really thought about it before but I can't think of anyone. I've never liked swimming (put it down to nearly drowning in a pond as a toddler) but I had to learn how to swim in fact I'm pretty sure that swimming lessons were compulsory in all schools when I was growing up...no idea if they still are though.

He also cannot ride a bike because his mother would not let him have one in case he got run over.

And I suppose he wasn't allowed to play any of that fuseball either - sure he isn't The Waterboy?

I was young and stupid. And I didn't realise about the swimming and bike riding until we went to a beach in Florida and I said I was going for a swim. He was quite alarmed: 'Don't go out far, I cain't come and get you if you start drowning!'

Cheers.

Do you have to be a normal cop before you become a starry?

Yep. Mature age entrants can suggest what field they would like to go into, but I think you must still serve your pennance as a Constable before moving upwards.Minimum of 1 year I believe.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

I need to know something...
Be grateful for anyone who can help with an answer (FC?)

2 days out from A Family holiday - A (idiot) Son decided that a fun thing to do at school yesterday would be to jump from a height and try and squash a drink container - result = missing container completely and now having a bruised heel, whinging his a*** off and finding it very hard to walk
:axe:

I have searched the internet which basically says nothing can be done - just get a shoe pad, or to tape the heel (Found a video on this).

Has anyone had this problem?
Any suggestions the best 'thing' to do with it?

Thanks in advance O:)

1. Nurofen Gel to dull the pain
2. Tell him it's his own fault and to stop whinging or he can stay home

Sorry, no sympathy for stupidity Ma.

bruised heels are a bitch and can take weeks to mend, one of the hardest bones to break but it can be done.

Otherwise, really not much you can do. Stick it in a bucket of ice water for starters to calm down any bleeding.

That's it. Sucks to be him

As MT79 stated a cup of cement normally does the trick.
