Everton 0-0 United at the half Everton had the better of the first half, United look very rusty and the back 3 look all at sea. In trouble when Carrick and Valencia are partnered at the back

Sucked in Jim
No complaints here, the better side won today. I have been concerned about our defence for awhile and we still havnt addressed the issue. Lucky the EPL is a marathon not a sprint, no panic stations just yet

By unmarked you mean Carrick was with him the whole way? GET IN!!! COYB got a good feeling about this season Maybe Christmas in July??
There's always an excuse cossi
If Carrick is with you then you are unmarked. One of the worst players to ever wear a United strip, I swear he has photos of Fergie and a goat somewhere No excuse at all MH, poor defending by a poor player
While the big clubs have more money than ever, funnily enough over the last couple of years the gaps seems to be tightening between the best and worse. Tottenham have cracked the top 4, and clubs like Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal are losing/drawing more games than around the 5 years ago.
Everton 1 - 0 Man utd .....you know what would stop that happeneing again ?? Spend 24 million pounds on a striker from a rival club ....oh wait, thats been done already.

All the strikers in the world wont make you defend better. Should of chased Song perhaps

Great for the premierleague.
It's been interesting since the start of last season, when some of the unfancied clubs kept playing their usual game with an attacking side, rather than just trying to park the bus against the bigger teams or at away venues.
It's a marathon season though, so the depth and quality becomes an issue at some stage for all but the richest clubs, but it is great to see teams setting out with the attitude of playing for the 3 points instead of 1.

im meaning the result, not that you let a goal in, i mean to win the game

I've just seen the goal and Carrick marked him that closely that he was up under his shirt and Felleini still outleaped him. Not sure what you saw Jim
I saw Carrick get beaten as usual, having Carrick on you is as good as being unmarked. Perhaps I should have put a on the end of my statement as I was having a go at the useless twat

Yeh i figured you were having a dig at him... When i seen the line up and i seen Fellaini up front i was curious... then i seen Carrick named on the last line and i thought to myself, this is good

Chelsea took an early lead with a penalty, only for Reading to then score thanks to a class header by Pogrebynak and then take the lead from a free kick thanks to a Cech blunder.
Ramieres has played the first half i have seen from a Chelsea player in the last 5 years.
Chelsea still dominating possesion, but Reading creating enough chances to suggest they could score again
