I don't doubt his commitment & Cornes' record speaks for itself - but really?

How can u doubt your last premiership coach when your currently on an unbelievable run of unheralded mini league coaches who are obsessed with wooden cutlery
Talk about ungrateful

ummm your league coach is a mini league coach

Is it April 1st already?

Training drill 1:" All those that were not born last time I coached get a footy, you other two guys head for the goal square"

If Warren knocked the job back as reported then they should have got Peter Jonas or persuaded Gotch,Maloney or Laird to take it on.

Then work through McGowan, Fuller, Norman, Bamford.

Then Bickley, Rehn, McLeod.

Then a committee of SAFOOTY.NET posters.

Then Chad Cornes.

Then Graham Cornes.

Then Kris Massie.

At least it's not Ginever.

Such a backward move. Such disrespect of our competition.

Well if Studley leads the state to victory I can see the inept Glenelg Board replacing Lokan with him mid season!

So what I'm hearing here is the Wagons could already be circling for a STUDLEY comeback to the Glenelg coaching box interesting........
Dedja do you have any info on this you might want to bring to the table?

Breaking News: Holden are getting the designer of the Holden Special to design their next car.

Shows how ridiculous and how much of a waste of time (and money when some clubs are struggling) the whole concept is.

Can it, and make the minor round longer, while you're at it, play our GF after the AFLs.

Be nice not to have ******* 8 months between games.

Cornes said on 5AA this morning that he had been asked in the past if he was interesting in coaching the Bays, again...

Said the time commitment was not suited to his life and that the month program he'll be involved in with state duties was better suited...

At least he's been keeping an eye on things. Not sure the state coach actually does much coaching, just more deciding rotations and selecting the side. Cornesy should be ok with that. I actually think he'd still be a reasonable coach at SANFL level.

Don't have anything against the appointment due to his SOO record as long as he goes to every game possible before the State Game.

On a side note, has he ever coached an SANFL rep side (i.e. as opposed to a SOO side)? My recollection is that he hasn't.

He certainly coached the state side as distinct from the State of Origin side in Perth in 1987. South Australia won easily.
