Jarman alluded to this about 2-3 months ago. I remember laughing at the time but he said that Hocking will replace a SANFL coach that would be sacked at seasons end

And Jarman is normally a fair way off the pace so if he gets this one right it will surprise us all.

Some say he was the brains behind Norwood's flags, and Sturt's rise this season...

It's a widely held view amongst Norwood people.

Straightened us up beautifully in front of goals under Bass when every goal was a premium.

Two Premierships. In the best players in both. Kicked nearly half our score in 2013.

Coach of my equal favourite Premiership in 2014.

I understand why he's been moved on but he'll be remembered by me as one of the gems!

Cheers Ben

As he should be .. Whilst I think the right decision has been made, he was a super player for us and critical to our success on the field. As you've said, he oversaw a finals campaign that could arguably go down as our greatest. Sad day for the club yesterday.

premiership coach 2 years ago. Missed qualifying final last year on percentage. Poor year this year and outski.

Or, got gifted a premiership squad, then couldn't work with a lesser group and showed nothing in developing that group further this year.

Surprised you would say that Booney. They beat a near full strength Magpie side in GF. Grand Finals are never gifted. Didn't they loose a lot of players that year or year earlier.

Full strength except for the fact Port dropped their only ruckman to fit in an AFL listed player.

Farcical. That premiership deserves an asterisk.
